"Spencer is one of my favorite restaurants in Ann Arbor because of the delicious food and the unique atmosphere. The menu is constantly changing but everything I've eaten there has been really delicious. You can never go wrong with the cheese board! It is fantastic and the staff gives a great explanation of all the meats, cheeses, pickles, etc. The seating is communal so it can feel a bit squishy if you're not used to that sort of thing. You order at the counter, leaving open your tab so you can go back for more if you want, and then the food is delivered to your table. The only complaint I had was that the menu is rather vague and it can be difficult to flag someone down to explain dishes. You are also responsible for filling your water glass. This is not the place for someone who wants attentive, traditional service, but it certainly offers a wonderful meal and a lovely dining experience."

"We ordered catering for my daughter's graduation party this past weekend, and Delia was SO good at helping us pick a variety of items and sticking within our budget. Everything was wonderful! Guests loved it all. It seemed like so much food when they started bringing it in, but almost everything was gobbled up by the time we left. We were left with just a few pieces of pita bread, about 1/4 cup of rice, and a couple bottles of dressing. That was it! The hummus platter was scraped clean and not even a bit of lettuce was left on the falafel tray. We'd ordered 100 mixed pita wraps (they come individually boxed! , deboned chicken, rice, falafel platter, hummus platter, lots of pita bread, garlic sauce and salad dressing (we provided a salad . There was only one mix up; one tray that was labeled chicken shawarma without pickles was actually lamb shawarma without pickles. But all in all, everything was tasty and I will not hesitate to order from Palm Palace again should we have another such event."

"Great place to eat. Eating is always fantastic. Open seating area makes it loud and hard to hear sometimes, but not so much you can hear other people screaming without them. Only a higher ambient noise. But food and service were incredible and their tapas delectable."

"I like the wraps and smoothies here but their staff is sometimes super unfriendly. Went two times this week and met the same staff who looked unhappy and unfriendly. This morning the staff didn’t say a word to me just looked at me waiting for I tell what I want to order and my phone number on my own initiative. I was not expecting a conversation but a smile and welcoming and “Hello what can I get for you today” are just very common in other restaurants. I think I’ll be back giving the delicious wraps, but staff altitude towards customers is certainly a thing they need to work on"
