"On a recent shopping trip round our fair town we found ourselves in old town and needing good food. We'd spotted Laila's before but had not been able to get so this was a perfect opportunity to try lunch as it was fairly quiet. We had a meze style including potatoes (Batata Harra), falafel with hummus, deep fried halloumi with cranberry sauce and Baba Ghanoush with Iraqi bread. It was all delicious and we were full at the end."

"I'm not sure how to check this business. Although they have a large selection of items that cannot be bought anywhere, their rusts were very dry as their apricots that could be that some of their stock is far behind their sale date."

"I am aware that our geographic survey in all edinburgh is not entirely what it could be and will be from where we tend to spend most of our time. So when there was an opportunity to lunch in polwarth, I jumped by chance. for the first time the queen vicky had suggested the piecebox that sounded good to me. I had visited one because the nearby odds ends, and I heard good dinge about streat hawker in the polwarth tavern, but that is otherwise quite unexplored territory for me."

"I was so excited to come here and book a table to have afternoon tea with 3 people. We ordered the afternoon tea and recommended soup of the day. 45 minutes later we had only the tea and were absolutely hungry. When the soup came out, they also said that they would bring the other food right away, but there was no place on the table so that we made the soup natural first and after we let the rest of the food come out. We just said that the soup took so long because it had to heat up. The food was ok, but not great and the experience was obviously quite bad overall, as there are 45 minutes waiting for the soup of the day without over the long waiting time in a non-occupied cafe is a little shame. Had to write bad reviews, but it was necessary."
