"It's bizarre how certain places in your local area stand out, while others blend into the background to the point they're almost invisible. Perhaps we're drawn to the more hyped restaurants, or maybe it's just down to their decor and whether it chimes with our tastes. Because I've lived in South East London for 2.5 years now and never really paid much attention to Hisar Mezze Restaurant on Lordship Lane, despite passing it countless times. But one Saturday, as I drove past LL's assortment of eateries I've gone to and loved Franco Manca, Franklins, Toast looking to book a last minute dinner, I noticed how busy Hisar was. The others were out of the question, either too busy or a bit too pricy for what we wanted. As soon as we walked in I was happy. It was rammed but they found space for us even though we hadn't booked. It's interior, all stone and wood, was reminiscent of a cosy taverna while the centrepiece, the massive charcoal grill, spewed out beautifully scented smoke that had us salivating from the start. We ordered mixed starters: tabbouleh, hummus, halloumi, and lots of others I can't remember. All lovely. For mains, we ordered a mixed grill of a lamb chop, grilled chicken, chicken wing, lamb kofta and lamb chunks, all done over charcoal and bursting with flavour. Their Original Iskender was also beautiful a lamb shawarma donee with tomato sauce yoghurt, served on pitta that 9ne we finished the beautiful meat, had absorbed all its beautiful juices. Delicious. Too full for dessert, it came to about £70 which was a bargain. A true local gem."

"We are londoners and know that southbank can be a tourist trap, but there are many good places around. Unfortunately, the greenderarm is not one of them. it feels like they are not interested in people coming back, just tearing off who goes through the door. £40 for a bottle of reasonable, but average white wine is a sign! eating is average and not so wildly overpriced, but any complaining, is completely cancelled because we see it, they do not expect to see it again, and of course we will not be back."

"I would say it is an okay place, very nice interior, but very informative, so if this something you like I would recommend if you prefer professional service I would go elsewhere. Not totally vegan and I thought the prices are somehow steep, which was previously published on here was the reason why I went but clear hike in the prices I found the food quite delicious, not the best for the price as quite simple. Overall, I would give it 3 stars, but as it serves fish, it is not even vegetarian and should not be classified as on the app!"

"After a fabulous massage we arrived at our reserved table at the Pasha Restaurant feeling very relaxed and chilled. By the time we left, we felt rather differently. Delay upon delay it took over 50 minutes to get our simple albeit tasty meze starter, for example. Our request for tap water was first forgotten and then refused ‘We don’t do tap water for drinking. Our water is only for washing up.’ but £3 still water was available. Our mains were okay though the rice with one vegetarian meal was forgotten, as were our plates for the starter we eventually helped ourselves as couldn’t catch the waiter’s eye. Altogether rather disappointing. Would advise that you do go here if you like very loud music, flashing lights, long waits and missing elements of your meal."

"We were in the opposite and tried to decide where to go for eating when we came over tas, and after we were in hazew earlier in the year we recognized the menu and ordered meat balls, a mixed grill and moussaka. eating was very good, although not much on a plate for the mixed grill. moussaka was beautiful, piping hot and tasted amazing, but I asked for chili sauce that was not too big and had to scratch it on a side. our waiter was also very nice, which made the whole experience more beautiful overall and I think we will go back there soon."
