"I’ve been fed in one way or another by Ringo for over 20 years. Today I was lucky enough to stop by his family owned and operated restaurant here in Durand Il.This was a great experience from start to finish. Good conversation up front. Food came fresh and hot straight out of the kitchen. I had the home cut fries and Italian beef dipped juicy with peppers and cheese, fantastic! Chicago style food stand without being in Chicago. Come by and eat this place does not disappoint!!"

"Visiting this place for the 1st time today and the food was terrible! The fries were wet and coated in grease and the macaroni and cheese was burnt. When I talked to the cook, he snatched the plates out of my hand and threw them away without even offering to refund my money. DO NOT EAT at HQ Fun Bunker in Durand, the food is gross and they are very rude! Also ordered chicken tenders for $8.50 and below is the picture of those. definitely lacking for the price."

"I'm from Pinckney, and have stopped at The Stomping Grounds for lunch a few times over the summer. The employees have always greeted me with a smile, and one young lady at the counter and I even recognized each other after only a second visit. Nice, friendly people serving great sandwiches and wonderful ice cream too! I'm a big railroad fan, and the town's historic murals, museum, and displays are also fun to take in. It's well worth the hour drive, and I'll be back!"

"Ordered dbl. Cheeseburger well done and no fries. Burger was not well done and the fries we got that we did order were cold. Second order was for a chili cheese dog. I think the hotdog was cooked last week and there was no cheese and not quite a teaspoon of chili buried under the dog. Parking: Not too bad. Service: Take out Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20"
