"It was early in the morning, where every other place we happened was almost completely empty. not here. filled with people who repair their early breakfast. delicious local breakfast with nice staff! great introduction to kreta when they had just arrived on the overnight ferry."

"Came here with incredibly low expectations in view of the reviews. but we were looking for rice and Asian foods, so we had an attempt. when I grew up in asia and eating local Chinese food, I was thoroughly impressed by the directed. we ordered a la carte (not the buffet.) the aromen were authentic and decent. the only thing that was unjustified was the price for a dish rice. the staff were friendly, attentive and accommodating to our desire for less salt. in any case worth a shot."

"I love this place! they could suggest gluten-free options for my friend (you could enjoy gluten-free saganaki. the server also gave many good options for traditional food when I asked. it is now very hot and its many sweet salad options were refreshing, tasteful and nourishing. the most difficult part was the choice of dishes. I have ordered too much, but I am happy to bring rest to the hotel! I was able to find χορτα (on the English menu as seasonal cooked green, that was a Greek dish that many people had recommended and it was pretty good. my favorite was the Magos salad of the same name, with wild greens, sun-dried tomatoes, apaki pork, Gravitera cheese and granatapfelsirup very tasteful. the staff was very nice and the service was excellent. they asked, which we would like to say the menu in (Greek, English, Spanish or German)."

"Excellent Cretean meal! We highly recommend this restaurant whilst in Heraklion. It’s a short walk from the city centre and totally worth passing other places/ going a bit further afield. We enjoyed the traditional Cretean ways of complimentary bread, dessert and raki ouzo. For main we shared the orange salad and wild goat. We opted for greens with the goat rather than potato, due to the amount of bread that came as an appetiser. The waiter wasn’t keen on this he said it wouldn’t taste good, and we liked his honesty and pride for his food. But safe to say the greens were delicious and everything worked really well for our taste. Overall, we highly recommend this restaurant, book ahead, and be ready to eat a lot (there were many things on the menus we were too full for! ."
