"It was our last outing before going home and we had run out of places to go. It was not easy to find, but once we got there it was lovely! The staff are all friendly and patient, e.g. with the kids taking their time choosing and the issues with translation. We went for ice cream first. I cannot comment on how good they are because we like all ice cream in Sicily, but I can say that there were lots to choose from and several with a very local charm to them (like the pistachio and ricotta great taste too . The portions are very generous and the like for like cost is much lower than on the coast. As we had spent 2 weeks in Sicily, heard a lot about cassata but never tried one... we gave it a go. We shared one! It was a fraction of the cost of the one in Noto (not tried, we did not know what it was at the time . As it was too cold we had to wait and the kids got donuts in the meantime thank you! They were lovely as well. When they spotted we were trying to carve slices with the plastic spoons they cut the cassata for us. As it was not that long to get back home we decided to take away some almond pasticcini too. They made it all the way and they are lovely and juicy : The kids did not want to leave the place. We visited on a Saturday evening. It was relatively quiet a fair number of locals visited while we were there. It's a pity the footfall is low there, but maybe that's what made our visit so great. We felt genuinely looked after. If you are in the area do go and visit, worth the search in the maze of road that is central Pachino."
