"LAST VISIT: November 2017 What I Had: Scone, Steam Fried Dumplings (RM19), Organic Mushroom Aglio Olio (RM24), Lentil (Quinoa) Coquette Burger (RM30), Carrot Cake, Chocolate Cake Being at Straits Quay, the prices (which are definitely on the high side) should not come as a surprise, especially with the way they’ve market themselves as a healthy, organic etc. establishment. The food here is good and doesn’t disappoint – using organic and quality ingredients but still managing to put out tasty food. In spite of that, I still do think that the food is slightly overpriced. Like the dumpling (which yes, were extremely addictive and amazing both fried and steamed), but RM19 for 8 dumplings? That’s about RM2 per dumpling! Still… not going to lie, it is my occasional guilty pleasure… (Guilty for paying RM19 for 8 dumplings). The mushroom aglio olio was just ok, with a nice assortment of mushrooms. The lentil coquette burger was delicious. I had their chocolate cake and carrot cake, both did not disappoint, especially the chocolate cake which would even impress non-vegans with its rich gooey chocolatey goodness. I had the scone one time as well, and it was AMAZING, flaky and moist like a normal buttery scone. So, Real food goes onto my long list of pricey but consistently good vegetarian/vegan establishments (mind you, I can name more overpriced and overrated non-vegan places). All in all, (until the day I can count the number of vegetarian/vegan establishments in Penang which offer good western food on two hands) I would recommend real food for the occasional vegan/vegetarian western food."

"Learned a great deal on different types of green tea, I was amazed! All this while I only knew of matcha latte, the commercial form of green tea. The tea leaves comes directly from owner's in law's green tea plantation from Japan. You are getting real original good stuff. I could taste the bitterness, saltiness/ umami in the tea. Totally unique! Will go again next time to try the other varieties ! Double thumbs up !"

"The place doesn't have the best atmosphere. The staff doesn't speak English at all and isn't really friendly and helpful. We had two different noodle meals which were ok but not great. When we ordered ice tea, it clearly had milk in it which they made it seem like our order was not clear. The price for 2 meals and 2 drinks was 22 ringgits. I wouldn't come back if it wasn't my only option."
