"Very good table top grill served restaurant. shockproof starters and spread a good evening meal. only the question is that they charge a separate service fee and gst. When I refused to pay the service fees, I was annoyed. I was finally refunded. pls check their bill before they pay! I would have given stars if they were more honest."

"After looking at the review, some may feel like it is a bit too much, but believe me, SURGURU was the highlight of my Pondi trip. This franchise has four branches in Pondicherry itself and a hotel. <br>
The place is pretty easy when it comes to setting up. Nothing special, jazzy but functional perfect and as needed. <br>
It's the South Indian restaurant we visited 3 times in 4 days just because that's what you can count on when you are just too tired to find a new place
It's simple, with the best taste, in the menu in full South Indian, not at all heavy in your pockets, most reliable and fastest with service and to the point functional. <br>
We tried many things on the menu but the best was the baby born dose of masala and the chole puri. <br>
Let yourself go on this joint in Pondi. <br>
I guess I have less to say, but it's the most practical choice in times of time and money crisis. <br>
Keep it up ... Well done"

"I wanted to have a pista milkshake first. when I saw the menu on zomato (called rs. 80), I went to this hotel. on the menu card that was handed over to me the rate Rs.120 was mentioned so I and my friend ordered a pista milkshake, a mango leti and two panneer kothu parotta. this is literally the worst kothu parotta I've ever eaten. they win 2.0 evaluation only for the milkshake and leti. that were fantastic. then came the shocker, in the bill was the rate for pista milk shaker as rs. 160 mentioned. I asked why and the guy said it was 160 rs. since I had to go somewhere right now, I did not ask for many details."

"We went and stayed here for the breakfast buffet. It's a very nice looking restaurant. It had both South Indian and continental distribution. There were good varieties, eggs can be ordered, and there was a live dosa counter. There was also idli, vada, french toast, hot dog, muffins, croissants, donuts and dry cakes. The food tasted good and the service was good too."

"This place is in Auroville and has a beautiful ambience. The restaurant is facing pool side, which has a mango tree in the middle. One can enjoy their food and drinks beside the pool view. It is a peaceful place which serves delicious food as well. <br>
We ordered:<br>
King prawns- They were just Yum! I love prawns and they serve some delicious prawns????????<br>
Pondicherry cassolette- It is one of their best dishes. It is a curry full of all kinds of sea food (crab, prawn, fish, squid). If you are a seafood fan, then it is a MUST HAVE! I loved this dish.<br>
Vegetarian biryani- This biryani is a good option for vegetarians.<br>
The quantity of the food served is very good.<br>
We had also ordered Homemade iced tea, fresh lime soda and watermelon juice. The iced tea was really refreshing.<br>
And if you are a cat fan, you will enjoy the company of a beautiful cat which just roams around the place. You can even share your food with the cat. I just fell in love with it. <br>

"Started with soup and starter.. Tomato soup could be thicker. Baby Corn Manchurian dry was awesome Abirami spl dosa reminded me of mysore Masala dosa. Nice. Big. Filling. Veggies with spices and side dishes were tasty Aromatic chilly rice was not something very special or spicy as claimed. But quantity was decent Ended the dinner with fruit salad and triple nut fantasy.. Was just about fine. Salad quantity was less my friend felt Ambience nice. Service prompt and fast. Just rice came faster than dosa!!! Vegetarians to note that fried ice cream contain egg!!! Pure veg restaurants should avoid this mix up."

"Shivering on a rainy winter afternoon, my partner and I set out on our quest for lunch in Auroville. The weather called for a hot bowl of soup and we tried to locate where we saw a Tibetan restaurant. Drenched in rain on our scooty,we finally noticed the board of Lhasa. As we went in we were given a warm welcome by the owner/waiter. Seeing us all wet, he thoughtfully offered us warm water to drink. We ordered momos and chicken and beef thukpa. The food was delightful. Decor was minimal with few colourful curtains and lights yet I loved that laid back ambiance of the place."
