"A very spartan setup with excellent food and friendly service. Three of us went here for lunch at random on discovering the Wok Box Next Door (also great) was closed. The central feature of the establishment is the wood fired pizza oven which is used to great effect for most dishes. Don't be shy about trying the Hungarian items on the menu. The prairies are home to many excellent cabbage roll variants and these particular cabbage rolls are quite simply the best ones I have every tasted in or out or a restaurant. We left with a loaf of bread as we were unable to resist. Meals are brought to the table, and the service is excellent. they also do take out."

"Met a friend for lunch at Famoso because of its convenience to her work location. It was a Friday at noon, and surprisingly not too busy, which was nice, as we had great service, the food came our really quickly (perfect when you need to get back to the office) and we didn't feel rushed to have to leave and give someone else our table.Quite a mix of clientele, from families with younger kids to business people.We both enjoyed the lunch special, which has several options for around $12. Mine was the Sofia Loren sandwich (a vegetarian option), which was good. Could have had a little more flavour, though. There are ways to jazz up vegetables a little bit. And as always, I upgraded the salad with their caprese salad (a favourite of mine) for a couple bucks more. But it, too, seemed a little plain that day. Maybe I should have asked for the pesto on it.All in all, it was a decent lunch for a reasonable price, and they're obviously aware that people need to get back to work and don't make you wait long."
