"We just had a great lunch at Bacalhau. The restaurant was suggested to us by our hotel and since it was the 1st of January which means limited restaurant availability we didn’t expect very much. The location was very residential which also did not scream gastronomic delights. However, we were pleasantly surprised to find a modern premises and extremely friendly staff and more importantly creative manu and a good wine list. The restaurant sources cod from Iceland where the fish is at its leanest and the menu contains traditional Italian and Portuguese dishes with the modern twist. We selected the two degustaion menus one Italian and one Portuguese and enjoyed every single dish of it. The dishes were well seasoned and I particular enjoyed the acidity of tomatos in tortelli. My partner’s Portuguese dishes were excellent too starting from the soup to the cod with egg. Highly recommend this restaurant"
