"For a quick lunch on my own or with colleagues, this is my daily go-to address in Paris. If you're in the neighborhood to take the Eurostar at Gare du Nord, visiting Montmartre or for some other reason, hesitate no more, this is the place for lunch in an area also full of tourist traps. They offer at least two daily specials (in addition to the starter and dessert of the day), along French classics and international fare, at an extremely fair and reasonable price. The daily special and a coffee is 13 euros - proper cutlery, friendly service, bread and water included! Camembert is served, as it should, with butter, and their dessert table is beautiful! (I don't have a sweet tooth but am told the lemon meringue and other delicacies are as good as they look). The staff are friendly, smiling, and extremely professional, so don't worry if there seems to be a wait: you will get seated fairly quickly."

"Being a solo traveler in Paris -the city of love- might be intimidating, specially when it comes to going out for dinner. But being a food lover as I am you must overcome that, and many times you get into places like this, when they make you feel as welcome you even forget that part and just enjoy a nice dinner. The restaurant is kind of small and tight, so a reservation is very much recommended. I was seated next to the bar, which was great because additional to the attention of the waiter I had the opportunity to chat a little with the bartender and get my drinks faster :). Food was divine! I had the homemade foie gras nicely paired with a moscato. Then I followed the waiter recommendation and had the lamb fondant which literally melts in your mouth, it comes accompanied with a good portion of potatoes that complete the flavors; I paired this with a 50cl bottle of red wine recommended by the waiter which was also very good. To finish a great dinner and my visit to Paris I had the créeme brûlée, which was good enough to make of this a great experience. The waiter was fluent in many languages, so this also helps. Enjoy!!"

"It is not the place, small and nestled in a street in the glaucos hall, which attracts us, but rather the so-called ambiguous comments of our friends. you enter this space and you already feel better than the outside: the decoration, signed of the marvelous meilichzon dorothe, warms our senses and we recognize a universe that no longer has the originality of the beginning, but in which you feel well: a ceramic bar, first, then the beard cushions laid on marrow banquets, and lamps that do not lean any more For us, it was a small cocoon of vegetables, egg with a dish and a crumble (miam! at the entrance, coconut with a daurade on the orange-backed potato purée (very good in the dish and, for dessert, a cheesecake we couldn't finish. beautiful performance of having managed to hold the big eaters we are. The check? Very reasonable, we are happy to leave these 24 things well spent. a test: the terrace on a good day, for the aeronaut?"

"Super Bistrot Resto from neighborhood to old. The server is an atypical and enduring character. Boss in his juice. Very good reception. Very good menu served at noon. A lot of people. A place like we don't do anymore, Bobo-style trails. Reasonable price. Don't hesitate to ask for an Irish coffee, it's a massacre, fabulous!!!"

"On a recent visit to Paris we enjoyed our first meai here in L'Authre Bistro, after struggling up la rue de la Montagne-Sainte-Geneviève from the Maubert- Mutualite metro station nearby, in the 5th arrondissement de Paris. There were lots of tables and glad to see that several of the diners were local Parisians, always a good sign, with a friendly ambiance and attentive staff who agreed to charge our iphone for ten euros (thankfully a joke! . The prix fix menu on the chalkboard offered pumpkin soup (Velouté de potiron and roast veal (roti de veau with dauphinoise potatoes. Gratin dauphinois is a dish of sliced potatoes baked in milk or cream. There was some fat on the roti de veau, which only seemed to add to the flavour. As it was a cold wet night we started with a vin chaud (5 euro and worth it and enjoyed the nice décor, with lots of rugby balls and wine bottles on shelves by the wall. We appreciated the vibrant atmosphere and yet a leisurely pace and it was a good choice for the first night of our visit to Paris."
