"...don't know who Bob Wilson is? Ask your Dad (provided he's over that is Well, Bob Wilson obviously likes this restaurant because he's been in there every time we've been there for dinner (either that or he's stalking us), and to be honest, I would quite understand why you'd want to eat your dinner there all the time if you had the money.It's not cheap, but it is good value with generous portions and excellent quality food. It's also incredibly popular, particularly at weekends, so early booking is vital despite the fact that they cram as many people into the restaurant in one go as possible. The best place to sit is round the corner in the old house part of the restaurant, but you have to be very nice to the staff when you phone up to book, and the chances of getting in this area on spec without a booking are close to nil. A great place to go for a birthday celebration the staff make a real fuss of you, Stevie Wonder's "Happy Birthday To Ya" comes blaring out of the stereo, and a cake with sparklers wends it way to you through the crowds of singing and cheering diners. A superb restaurant with a lovely atmosphere. Just wish I could afford to eat there all the time (hence only stars)"

"Food service from the young waitresses was good, but the whole experience was completely spoiled by that owner/manager of a woman. How the hell have they ever survived in business with her at the helm! Not only does she talk to her staff like a piece of sh*t but this is also not lost on the customers."

"Have eaten at this venue many times mainly on Sundays. The roasts were loverly. We thought we would visit mid week and try their new menu. We first noticed there were no chicken dishes. There were no vegetables on the menu or option for veg as a side. Queried this and the lady went to ask the kitchen, she told us the menu was new and still in its infancy, however they could serve is some cabbage. The Pork belly was flavoursome but fatty. The slow cooked beef brisket although flavoursome was difficult to eat, the meat was stringy and matted and difficult to separate. On the whole disappointing."
