"On our way to La Guardia airport and decide to get lunch. Looked up reviews and saw Benateri's Italian Gourmet Deli got high marks. Busy place with limited parking so I double parked and left my wife in the car. Basically just a long counter. Quite an extensive menu with all types of sandwiches and salads. I chose the The Godfather,Genoa salami, pepperoni, sopressata, cappicola, prosciutto, ham cappicola, fresh mozzarella, lettuce, tomato, roasted peppers, oil and vinegar. Available on a hoagie roll or just a roll. Great sandwich"

"I love cookies. Italian cookies are my kryptonite. overall I am not a great sweetness person, as I prefer, more delicious and fresher tasting food. the cookies of la cheesecakes are really an exception. these cookies are sweet, but not excessive. the chocolate glaze and the folds (not all their cookies have them, but the ones who do are my favorite! add to their cookies such a beautiful smoothing and crumbling factor. the mandel or celestial jams that could be found within these cookies are also exceptional and not too sweet! the cookie itself is beautiful and crispy with a strong taste of vanille. they are buttery, light and absolutely delicious when combined with the jam and glaze sprinkles combination. the best part is that half dozen this goes for less than $6! for the quality and satisfaction of cookies this is really a steal. Finally, the people there are so nice! They are fast, polite and extremely polite. I'm really glad I found this bakery so close to my job!"
