"Perfect sandwich wrap tray for an opening event in the Town Plot section of Waterbury early June. The roast beef was tender and medium rare. The tuna in a spinach wrap was fresh and full with no competing flavors such as onion or celery. Turkey may have been the favorite as it went quickly. The ham was equally good. All wraps had lettuce and tomato inside and dressings such as mayo or mustard were on the side. For lunch this May 2022, we learned the healthy choice grinder that looks good on paper is not something to enjoy eating. Grilled chicken with spinach, red peppers and mozzarella was pretty much flavorless. No criticism of Noochie's. They make great grinders but it's tough to master a low cal one that customers would order again. The fried mozzarella starter had a nice crunch and decent sauce. We were charged for five drinks but only had four. My partner said to forget about it. I bought a pound of cookies to bring home to family. We all agreed they were kind of dry. The pecan sandies were the best. Noochie's is a reliable place for dining in, take out or a drink at the bar. Bought just over a quarter pound of baked cookies from here this December weekend. They came to nine dollars and change. A small assortment of cookies wrapped in cellophane on the counter was $30. so it was near a pound. Another customer was picking up a huge wrapped tray of cookies. They have a large assortment available. Revisiting here for lunch this weekend we split a chicken parmesan grinder that was delicious. Perfectly fried, tender, moist and seasoned. Portion wise, it's a good sized piece of chicken, too. We had a few chips and lemonade with our sandwich. We also tried a small container of Noochie's seafood salad from the deli. It's a mix of shrimp, crab, mayo, celery and red onion. My partner doesn't usually like any salads with mayo, but he liked this one enough to eat most of it. One of the owners told us anything they make with mayonnaise in it they make fresh every day. Good to know! Later we we went back to the bar side of the store and ordered a couple of drinks. Quick service and an interesting selection of labels in their stock. Nice space. Great selection of Italian foods, hot or cold, to eat there or take home. Grinders, pasta, stuffed breads, pastries, salads, and cold drinks. Full bar in the café. Friendly service. We split a veal parm grinder and lemonade, and ordered six meatballs and three rice balls to go. We ate at a table in the deli. My companion says two hot Noochie grinders are also good: The Town Plotter like a Philly cheese steak and The HC Crusader with chicken cutlet, bacon, white cheddar, tomato and BBQ sauce. There's even Soppressata for fans of this classic Italian dish, in The Mama D grinder with Mortadella, eggplant and cheese, or in take-out containers. A good new edition for locals."
