I am insecure about their cross-contamination precautions, but have no problems and enjoyed my meal:"

"Had the good fortune of patronizing Pizzeria Picante recently, and was certainly not disappointed. I understand that this resto is a recent transplant from Laval; well, Laval's loss is most certainly the West Island's gain!The salad we ordered was fresh and tasty, with ripe vegetables and cheese. The pizzas were perfectly presented, thin crust in fashion, with just the right amount of cheese-to-sauce balance. Moreover, Picante has a rather impressive beer and wine lineup for a neighbourhood Pizzeria.The restaurant is comfortable and accessible, and its location in a large strip makes for user-friendly parking availability. Service was prompt and attentive, and the young gentleman who waited on us was personable, professional and very friendly. I'm not one for sweets, but they do have great dessert pizza options, as well.Looking forward to my next visit!"

"I rarely write negative reviews - there are so many wonderful restaurants in this world. But I have also rarely been this disappointed. I would never have walked in actually - but my friend was keen to try it, and was already seated when I arrived. Upon opening the door - I was keenly aware of a strong chemical small - hardly appealing. But we sat down anyway. It was barely after 2:00 PM - and the place was deserted - just us and the waitress - who was sitting listening to her iphone at the far end - separated from us by a lovely fire wall. Unfortunately - that meant she couldn't see us - so we had to yell to her attention. One yell to place our order, One yell to ask for salt, a third yell to return my crepe. It was inedible. The crepe itself was not horrid - but the filling must have been made hours and hours earlier - and tasted and smelled stale. My friend got just the simple dessert crepe - and complained that it was only partly cooked thru.Still willing to give them a chance - we ordered coffee and gelato. The gelato was mostly gelatine - the worst I've ever tasted. So gummy and gluey. I will admit the coffee was made fresh - at least the waitress told us that.So - expensive, terrible service, unacceptable food, and a horrid small. What's to recommend this place? Nothing. Don't go. Sorry."
