"This bustling little cafe is a perfect stop for breakfast...and I'm pretty sure it would be good any time of the day! Mario warmly welcomed and seated us and we were well taken care of. Our breakfast selections were super yummy, fresh and hot. Coffee was excellent. We sat in a window and enjoyed watching the Fitzroy neighbors pass by. Wonderful!"

"Major props to the selection of side dishes that you can order endlessly because they're definitely a change from the grilled meat and shabu shabu. For the price of $35, the quality is still good and depending on the night, quite plentiful. Service was very accommodating even to the point of closing (yes we stayed that long). Would definitely recommend for gatherings"

"This is the third time that I have been in this ice cream and I have no hesitation to say that eating is great. absolutely venerate their version of eggs benedict, which is crispy and sits on a bed of (3 hours slow-baked) kartoffel roesti instead...from toast and also has a pure of prickly birne through the hollandaise- incredibly stirred!"

"The menu is pretty limited, but it seems like what they do they do very well! Service was wonderful, and an issue of a forgotten item was fixed with a smile super quickly. Only downside was rubbery haloumi, but if I hadn't ordered that it would have been a perfect meal."

"After reading great reviews online, I suggested to a friend that we meet for dinner here. It was a cold, wet and windy Melbourne night and I was looking forward to some Italian food, especially because I hadn't had 'proper' Italian for a long time. The service was very friendly and efficient. There was a nice cosy atmosphere, with only a handful of tables inside and attentive, happy staff. We ordered a nice New Zealand sauvignon blanc to start, and decided to order the rice balls as an entree. Three decent sized portions arrived. They had porcini mushroom and taleggio inside. They were tasty, warm and comforting. Lots of flavour too. We each had the beef/pork bolognese, which was quite a decent serving. Unfortunately I found that it didn't come out very hot and because we were talking while eating, it was almost cold when I was still eating it. The size was quite a decent size considering it wasn't technically a 'main'. I decided to try a dessert too, so we shared the chocolate fondant and also had tea/coffee. This was absolutely divine! And once again perfect for a cold miserable night. Warm chocolate sauce oozed out of it when it was cut, and it was perfect with the vanilla ice cream and strawberries on the side.I'd recommend this spot for a cosy intimate dinner. I'd also recommend making a booking as it isn't a huge place. The staff work really hard and genuinely care about your experience. Worth giving a tip and a thank you at the end!!"
