"Parisa, our server, recommended a wein we enjoyed, and good vegetarian options for our dinner. everything was delicious. it's a bit expensive, but not different from where we are from. I hope we will come back when we visit Fribourg."

"My husband and I had our date night in this restaurant and we couldn't help but notice how passionate Mr. Antonio is with his culinary works. And sure enough the food from Apero wine, succulent seafood pasta the Dessert Tiramisu Pistacho Ice cream bang on really! In short it is truly a gastronomic experience to dine here. This restaurant is a Gem and if you are around the Fribourg area it definitely is worth the visit. Again thanks Mr. Antonio, Ms Ahlem the culinary team for making our date night extra memorable. "Nous avions réservé pour 8 personnes un dimanche à 19:15. On nous a montré la table : "c'est là au fond". Le restau n'était de loin pas rempli. Nous avons demandé des nouvelles de nos plats 45 minutes après avoir commandé et là encore une super réponse : "il n'y a pas que vos pizzas !" Bref, après 1heure nos plats sont arrivés mais il manquait les légumes. Pizzas pas top mais salade OK. Nous n'avons pas pris de café. Si on y retourne, ça sera éventuellement pour un verre sur la terrasse mais en tout cas pas pour manger."

"The Boccalino is situated near the cathedral, at the place de Tilleul.The restaurant offers a large variety of foods, ranging from traditional Swiss food to Italian food. Even though the variety is large, the quality of the dishes is excellent.I ate there twice during the hunting season to eat some local game. The meat and the side dishes were excellent and the price/value ratio was excellent. The service is fluent in German and French, and is very friendly and efficient. You never wait long to get served.The restaurant has two floors. I would recommend the upper floor, since it is quieter and the atmosphere more relaxed.The Boccalino is quite underrated in my opinion, even though I would wish they would focus more on local specialities."

"Despite the fact that the food is really good I will not return to this restaurant. We had originally booked a table with passport gourmand. We were never received in any other restaurant this way. When we booked the table no one told us that...the choice using passport gourmand would be totally limited. The only thing you can eat is the menu with the Entrecote and NO OTHER MAIN COURSE. What a shame. Passport Gourmand should really exclude this restaurant. But the bad experience continued. We decided to stay nevertheless and ordered from the main card. Despite the fact that the food was good, prices are extremely high. Cafe Gourmand as desert 16.50 and the macarons were frozen. This lets me conclude by mentioning that we felt not welcome at all. Service really really poor, anthipathique like the French say, arrogant in any way. We really thought we had discovered a nice place but will never return and advise all our friends in doing the same."
