"Probably the best meal we had in our short France trip. Excellent restaurant and bar. Service was the best we have experienced so far in France.Nice to see smiling faces and friendly staff. We opted for the Lunch 'Carnival' option and the food was very well done. at £40 for two people with drinks, I think this is the best bet on the stretch considering the prices of the options close by."

"I have driven past hundreds of times but never stopped before. We turned up as a group of 8 without a booking on a Sunday lunchtime and they soon found a table to accommodate us. The staff couldn't do enough to help, changing one of our children's meals without a fuss, we fully expected to pay for the extra meal but they didn't charge for it. Four of us had the menu of the day mussels and chips with a choice of 4 sauces. desert and coffee for only €16 and they even brought a whole second helping of mussels for those who could manage it. The food was perfect and we will definitely be back."

"WE hadn't booked but they found us a table..I recommend you book..We started with mussels my husband had prawns and squid..followed by a fish mixed grill it was excellent ..the cooking was superb the lady serving was very friendly..it is in a lovely situation overlooking the canals ..seawater..cost wise a little higher than some of the others but it was backed up by the excellent cuisine"

"Not a lot to say: Great food. Great service. Great atmosphere. Reasonable prices. We have been here several times: With the family, with friends and in a larger group. The quality was always the same: Perfect, friendly, relaxed, focused.The inside is really cosy whereas the terrace is a bit "lighter".One of the rare opportunities in Port Grimaud to have dinner in style for prices well below Saint Tropez."

"We arrived early (7pm) for dinner and were the first people in the restaurant--a little skeptical at first as the place doesn't look like much. Turned out to be a nice surprise. A very good Italian meal--pastas that seemed local/homemade and lovely salads. A nice little place for a low-key meal when you need a break from French food. The one waiter was running around like a madman by the time we left--the place was packed with locals."

"We were looking for an Italian restaurant that was more than a pizza bar and we found it here. a real Italian restaurant serving Italian dishes. the location and eating were perfect as the service. all the dishes we had were great, but. I would definitely recommend the lobster pasta, it was amazing. would be very recommending la capannina."

"I was very pleased to be able to revisit this restaurant after a 10 year gap !...nothing had really changed except the owner !...very nice spot on the edge of old Grimaud town so away from the crowds on the coast. Need to book as...all tables taken for a Friday night which tells you something about the place ! Italian food of course but very fresh and well presented...in my opinion one should eat here for dishes other than pizza you can get those anywhere ...our risotto and seafood linguine dishes were superb...our whole dinner there was just great,very relaxed and the service excellent...would love to return one day !"
