"Hook Ladder Pizza was one of the few local restaurants open following the recent snow storm, so this was a perfect opportunity to give it a try. The layout is a bit different than most pizza places... you order at the front counter then proceed to the dining area. There is adequate room for seating, and the tables are spacious and comfortable. There are numerous Emergency Services patches adorned on the walls, which is interesting for a former firefighter and two former paramedics. The food is very good; all 3 pizzas we ordered were prepared properly, and they can do both hand-tossed or thin crusts. Toppings and cheese were plentiful, and they came out fairly quickly once ordered. We also had a blackberry cobbler for desert that was okay, but unfortunately, they were out of ice cream. The menu also contains appetizers, a selection of subs and sandwiches, and a limited amount of pasta. The drink fountain had a good number of beverage choices. Next visit will give us the chance to try some of these offerings. Service was fine, but if you arrive at lunch time the number of call-in orders could slow things down a little. The cost was quite reasonable for the quality of meal. All in all, an enjoyable dining experience."

"We had my mother in the celebration of life in Mangia a few weeks ago. Raul his staff was incredible! Not only was the food above the top, but her service attention to detail interactions with the guests warm sensitive, but helped to keep the celebration happy. Raul's suggestions for the menu were perfect and each raves still about the food. If you are looking for a place for a special event, I would highly recommend Mangia's. Thank you, Raul and the staff for everything you've done."

"There was a lot on the menu that looked really good. We got Chicago style pizza. That seems to be their specialty. The service was very good. It was not as light and flaky as I was expecting. The crust is like a crispy pie crust. By some miraculous feat of engineering, I could pick it up and eat it despite the mound of toppings. It was very good. We ate all of it."
