"Based on my one meal there, I'm not so sure I trust these reviews. I dined here while on a business trip in the area and was pretty disappointed in the whole experience. First, the restaurant was nearly empty for dinner in a Wednesday night. Ok, no big deal. But as the dishes came out, I started to understand why. They were each mediocre at best. This was a solid three experience, not a 4+ as summary of reviews show. Better food can be had elsewhere in La Crosse for the same, or less money. The Baked Brie with Pesto and Walnuts was barely melted cheese with very oily Pesto. The Crostini was $8 for 4 little slices of bread. The filet was heavily seasoned and the mashed potatoes were flavorless. The bananas foster was just a hot mess. The best thing was the cheesecake which I suspect was made elsewhere. Not sure if this typical of this place but the coworker I dined with had a similar opinion of the meal."

"Simply the best gourmet pizza in La Crosse area.. and I would put some of Kate's creations against any other (similar place where I was, coast to the coast. If you are looking for a traditional American cake, such as pepperoni or superior, then you are better off to choose another place (such as Big Al's . If you want something new, different and explosive in more complex flavors, then go straight to Kate's!"

"Jimmy’s north star is a tavern that offers more than the typical bar food. it has fresh ingredients and a beautiful layout. the outside door area is unmatched on the north side! the gryos are amazing and the sandwiches are also great."

"I was in La Crosse visiting my spouse who was deployed to Fort McCoy. We have an inside joke in our relationship about Hang on Sloopy so we thought it would be a lovely place to share our final dinner together before I had to go home again. The food was great, but the staff was truly amazing. After hearing our story, they insisted that the bill was on the house. It was a beautiful gesture during what was a very bittersweet moment. Thank you."

"Why doesn’t Uno Venti have a 4.9 review overall, I realized it might be because of people like me who’s been loving this place for over a year and visit regularly but too lazy to leave a review and tell the internet about it.Our go to is chicken pesto, pepperoni and house salad! It’s the best pizza even compare to places in some EU countries we’ve visited.I feel very lucky having this amazing pizzeria in our tiny town of La Crosse!"
