"We asked for an evening drink on our way back to our hotel. Very friendly owner welcomed us and served delicious wine. We were outside the season (November), but I understand that the place is usually heaving and has great atmosphere. Excellent service and the...decor was fabulous. Recommended."

"Good place to eat! came after a long day on the bike to lienz. the personal was friendly, the restaurant interieur is really nice and the menu offer was really good! the pizza was good and tasty and worth its price, just like the salad buffet....maybe recommend!"

"The pizza here is very reasonably priced and delicious. The carpaccio is excellent as is the Pizza Lienz with mozzarella, arugula, Parmesan, bacon and truffles. Other food I saw being served to other customers looked wonderful as well. Living in the NY metro area, I was worried about getting pizza in Austria but this place did not disappoint, and being that Lienz is only 2 hours from the border of Italy, I guess it’s not all that surprising that the Italian food would be good here."

"Sauber, schnell, qualitativ hochwertig, freundlich - WIR KOMMEN WIEDER!Lediglich die Mädels im Service haben eine "eigenartige" Berufsbekleidung getragen :-)Aber flott und freundlich und vorallem SEHR bemüht.Auswahl der Gerichte war sehr sehr gut. Die Ente ein "Gedicht" die Lammgerichte spitzenmäßig ....Aber die Krönung war das Dessert!!!!! Da weiß man in der heutigen Küche mit Geräten umzugehen :-) (Paco Jet)"

"Dopo 15 gg in austria dove ho trovato tutti posti splendidi e particolari finire la vacanza in questo rifugio è stato veramente deprimente. Classica esperienza di come vengono trattati(e cosiderati) male all'estero gli italiani( e Lienz è molto frequentata essendo vicina al confine e molto carina da visitare!): nella patria dello strudel questa locanda offre lo strudel del supermercato con panna della bomboletta. Un dolce presentato come una sacher non era altro che un ciambellone del super coperto di cioccolata fusa. Oltre a questo due coca cola da 33 cl e un piatto di pasta in bianco mi sono costati 22 euro! Naturalmente servizio pessimo di una cameriera che dice due parole in italiano laddove il cartello recita "parliamo italiano". La torre panoramica è una struttura di ferro che ti fa vedere al di sopra degli alberi: se non consumi paghi anche per salirci. Considerando che basta che prendi una qualsiasi cabinovia o seggiovia e ti ritrovi a guardare il panorama delle Alpi sopra i 2000 metri...Ad una coppia con un bimbo hanno chiesto 4,50 per un panino al prosciutto!!!"
