"We stopped for a late lunch and sat outside overlooking the lake. The service was good, the pizzas fine as well as the spaghetti. The pricing was also ok, so all in all a nice lunch."

"Not with other alternatives for dinner, as the city is very small and all other restaurants were close, we had to eat in la taverna. eating is not so bad, but the service is a catastrophe. there was a dog in the...restaurant as big as a pony; to get the bottle to see where the wein comes an act and then the owner said that they do not accept credit cards as they do not want to pay the credit card fees and we have to go to the next atm to pay money from the credit card and pay in cash. not expected this type of service in a city that lives completely from tourism, but looks like a monopolist pampered some of the restaurant owners. disappointing."

"Wir waren an einem sehr sonnigen Tag im Restaurant des Hotel Strand-Cafe und haben leider keinen Platz an der Seepromenade bekommen. Den Seeblick konnten wir aber auch vom Fenster drinnen genießen. Nettes Personal und gutes Essen... Linsen mit Spätzle und Wienerle sind sehr zu empfehlen. Das Lachsfillet mit Spinat und Salzkartoffeln war auch gut. Gerne wieder."

"A bit like a saga from Italian Fawlty Towers...The place was quiet, with a few other diners, no real atmosphere but it was Monday evening and we were hungry.When we arrived, an elderly guy (who was sat on another table chatting) came over and took our drinks order, then got carried away greeting and chatting to a lady who had arrived. Another elderly guy (waiters?) took our food order. Apologies if this sounds ageist but they just seemed out of place, but I'm guessing they worked there. Only when the pizzas arrived did the first guy realise he forgot the drinks and jumped up to shout some orders to which the drinks then arrived pronto.I ordered the calzone which light heartedly said on the menu 'depends upon the chefs mood' I asked if the chef was in a good mood was told 'yes' - ok let's try it. They got my partners order correct but arrived with a cheese and tomato pizza for me. First elderly guy offered to change it and the lady who arrived earlier started some theatricals about how and why the chef was stressed... I was so hungry that I just told them to leave it with me.Sadly, Pizzas, doughy and lacking seasoning - no accompaniments like black pepper, Parmesan, oil etc to be seen. Mine had a big tomato cut in 4 plonked on top - I mean it's not difficult to do a pizza - is it?Finished meal, no offer of desserts so requested bill.The bill included the cost for the calzone, which was strangely no surprise - a discount would have been more appropriate for taking the pizza we didn't order, but 'hey'. We queried the bill but was told 'it okay, everything good' - well it wasn't ok or good, so we got the 3.50 euro difference between calzone/cheese & tom refunded.It's a shame because (for Meersburg), it looked good value and has some good reviews - maybe they were just having an off night!Ps my partner swore she saw one of the elderly guys taking the tomatoes off the left overs plate in the kitchen - surely and hopefully not."

"Because with my family for a nice lunch, had some pizza, pasta and bruschetta, all were very happy with the food, the pizza was delicious and crispy a little different, then the Italians make it still very delicious! Great place, even if it was in decembrie the weather was perfect and the sunset too! very busy place, we sat up so we had a good look at the sunset. Question."
