"They went above and beyond. Had the Lite Breakfast and asked for no banana, they gave me extra berries and even removed the dried banana from the granola! Atmosphere was lovely and staff were very friendly, and COVID measures were easy to understand but thorough."

"Staff were very pleasant even at am. Food was OK, but this is really only somewhere to pass time waiting for your flight to be called. Coffee was strong and good depth, ideal for an early start. Generally clean, but one of our seats...needed wiping as it and part of the table had been left sticky. Prompt provision of the bill and taking payment was very welcome."

"Having read a few recent negative reviews we attended San Giovanni's this evening a little anxious as to what to expect. We last dined here several years ago and oved it. I am pleased to say that everything this evening was just perfect. Setting, staff, ambiance, service, food, just everything was perfect. Yes it's a little expensive but you really do get what you pay for. Couldnt recommend it highly enough and definitely wont leave it as long before dining here again."

"Ate here some time back and the whole experience was bad, managaer knows everything and is rude. We are always polite but, shame the manager isn;t. has no understanding and wont listen. not looking for money off or a discount but at least listen to customers. didn't bother with dessert and were made to feel small. took some time to write the review as reading others the manager is bad and dont want him to remember us because he will just be rude. calling people liars, saying they haven't eaten there but also saying bet they enjoyed all the free drinks! wish i'd read this before we went. we are always soft and polite shame the manager isn't."

"Bit of a mixed bag. On arrival we had to wait about 10 minutes to be seated. Unfortunately there is no bar or waiting area here so you are just stood in the doorway waiting. We had a table in the window which was nice and once we were seated we got served quickly. The staff were all very friendly. We ordered our starters, mains, a bottle of wine and a some tap water for the table. Starters came quickly but no wine or water. We assumed it would follow but didn't...... Half way through starters the waiter asked if everything was ok and I mentioned the drinks. He apologised and chased them up, but by the time they eventually came the starters were finished. The starters were very tasty, as was the wine (Puglia Bianco). After starters got cleared the mains came not long after. My wife had a pasta and meatballs dish and I had the mushroom risotto. My wife's food was ok, although the pasta was really over cooked and sloppy. My risotto was very bland. It tasted like the rice had been cooked on its own then mixed with mushrooms after. If you had the rice on its own it had no flavour at all. Lacked any sort of seasoning. We then shared a salted caramel sundae which was really good. Upon paying we told the waiter that we had a voucher to use towards payment. I had also put this in the booking notes. The waiter didn't know how to take payment with the voucher so had to get the manager, but this took a good 15 mins or so. When we finally went to pay there was some sort of issue with the tills, then an issue with the hand held payment machine. All in all it took about half an hour to pay. There was a lovely atmosphere in Ask and the staff were very friendly, however the quality of the food was lacking and the service seemed quite stretched and hectic. I would come back here but will play it safe and order something like pizza."
