"Hosted our team Christmas party here and had a great time. The owner, bartender and our dedicated server took tremendous care of us. The 3 course meal was delicious, the live music was entertaining and the ambience was everything we were looking for! Thanks for the awesome evening and for truly giving us a 5 star experience! "My sister and I visited this restaurant for the first time last night. The atmosphere was very family orientated (comfy kids’ high chairs) and their menus matched the designs separating the booths. It was decorated like an upscaled diner.The problems began when we ordered. We both wanted the pasta di carne which is fettuccini with their saffron sauce and sliced steak on top. You do not get to order the steak the way you want it cooked. It is a skirt steak well done with gristle. Which makes chewing complicated to say the least.My sister changed her mind from the di carne to chicken. When she received her dish there was one little piece of chicken in it. I found the rest of her chicken in my bowl. I asked the server about it and he said it comes with chicken. It wasn’t supposed to. Then we were told there was a new chef.I asked for no mushrooms and got plenty. There was nothing wrong with the way the pasta was cooked, the saffron sauce was subtle but flavourful, the vegetables were sparse but good.The truth is that our dinner was no where near good enough for what we paid. The service was performed by young people who had no idea what was going on, and muddled through with guessed answers.The male server tried to make up for it by giving us a free slice of cake (which was kind though neither of us like cheesecake) but we didn’t want it and then felt bad about wasting food.I won’t go back, as it would have been less frustrating to cook at home."

"Went there last night for supper and was impressed. My wife ordered the Ravioli in cream sauce and must say this sauce was the best I have EVER tasted to date. I had fettuccini and seafood plate called Frutti de Mare in a rose sauce. Pasta was fresh and delicious, sauce was nice but nothing like my wifes plate. My one complaint was the small amount of clams and shrimp. In fact 3 larger clams and 4 tiny ones with only ONE large shrimp on entire plate. When you pay for seafood you should get enough especially with clams because although they are large on the outside the meat inside is tiny."

"I love this place. I always make a point to grab dinner and drinks here whenever I’m in Ottawa. The meatball appetizer tastes like Nona made it and the penne Bolognese is outstanding. Great food and excellent service."

"I love their Sandwiches. This place is kind of in the middle no where. Unless you worked near it, one would never passed by. Anyway, I found this place out of the blue when I was driving in that area. Decided to order a sandwich and BAM I kept going back. For 7 dollar, you get a full size sandwich and a soup or salad. That is a way better deal than that subway crap. The sandwich is stuff with meat and veggies and its such a big sandwich I can only eat half (and save the other half for a mid afternoon snack). Not to to mention, it is freshly made! I would definitely recommend this place to those who are in that area!"

"Great detroit style deep dish pizza and regular pizza. The 'bianca ' was really great and I do highly recommend that one. Can 't say I 'm exactly a fan of the calabrian chili on the 'fire in the hole ' pizza which was very sour/salty/spicy, but the fire in the hole deep dish pizza also tastes great without it. The deep dish pizzas appear to be small at first when you open the box, but because they are thicker they actually are quite filling (and they taste great of course). You will also find the toppings right to the edge, so the crust isn 't really a thing as it is on a normal pizza you 'll probably eat it without a second thought like I did. The 'goat in a garden ' was also quite good. I was sort of concerned about customer service looking at the tone of their response to other reviews, and while I do find that they can be direct in their phrasing (e.g. 'you know we close at 8pm ' when we placed an order for 730pm), I can sympathize with the small business owner trying to close up shop and go home to their family. Maybe just lighten the wording a bit."
