"Visited for dinner based on a recommendation. The staff were welcoming and we were served quickly. From a large menu, we opted for a pasta starter and a main course this proved to be too much to eat, but the food was tasty and we enjoyed trying local cuisine."

"If you are in San Candido, I suggest to go to the Theaterpizzeria. There are some restaurants at San Candido, but this is the place to go. Up to the 1950ies the place was a theatre that`s why the place is called Theaterpizzeria, theatres pizzeria . One of the best places is of course the former stage where you can overlook the whole place. But much more important is the food which is really delicious. They serve traditional South Tirolean food as well as best Italian food. After a cool Franciacorta (sparkling wine from northern Italy) try the grilled vegetables with fresh baked bread sprinkled with delicious olive oil, followed by home made rosemary pasta accompanied with a Cabernet Sauvignon from South Tyrol and you will forget all the muscle aches from cross country skiing or mountain climbing! Leave a space for one of the home made desserts, my favorite is always the semifreddo alle mandorle (kind of almond ice cream, Italian style). If you are lucky, you will find waiter Stefano. He is one of the best waiters in whole Italy and he will make you pass a splendid evening. Always follow his suggestions! All the other staff is also very good, they all will make you feel at home. I really do recommend this place. If you prefer a quiet evening, better avoid Fridays or Saturdays. Reservation suggested. Enjoy your meal in the theatre, buon appetito!"

"We stop for a pizza while returning home from skiing on Kronplatz. What to say, pizza is really amazing. Quality of ingredients is on top level. Staff is decent and quick. We ll come again here for a pizza."
