"The Royal Taj has taken over from that amazing yet unknown Italian restaurant Campagnola, and suffers from the same problem of invisibility, as it is just a street or two away from the popular Ballarat Road restaurant district. A large balloon saying "Now Open" indicates...(for now, at least) that it is there but it may still suffer the same fate of fading into obscurity. At least The Royal Taj managed to avoid the problem of mis-matching tableware, and they also have good wait staff, in what is a very good attempt at genuine Indian culture. The cuisine is mostly very well cooked, with a few exceptions, and, unlike the nearby Indian restaurant of Aangan, this one has great dessert. But this is far more expensive than Aangan, and much more expensive than Campagnola, and our banquet that we had because we couldn't figure out the menu cost a whopping each, with a tiny lassi and an overpriced small soft drink glass to total for a moderate sized meal. The quality was good but it wasn't worth, more like or worth, so we left there feeling ripped off. The owner was very rude when we tried to come by the day before this too. These guys clearly have business smarts but Campagnola was overall a better restaurant"

"Stood and waited and waited and waited for the dame behind the counter to ask what I want. a kerl is that she knows she welcomes herself and she takes his command. I can't tell you how it was because she never took my order. I left after she had made him a coffee, gave him his food, was exchanged money, and she did not even ask what I want. I was invisible this day. a lot of luck with any service, unless you know it."

"With Scopris Hof to table cooking boxes you can enjoy their beautiful Italian cuisine from home comfort. Recently I tried the Kingfish carpaccio, pappardelle with ducks ragu and cannoli with pistachio. The box came with easy to follow instructions for heating and distributing the dishes. Overall, minimal cooking was required, from the three dishes I only had to cook the pasta and heat the sauce. Assembly and coating was just forward. The Kingfish Carpaccio was fresh and worked nicely with the dressing. It was nice and light with a little toe. The pappardelle with duck ragu was amazing. The delicate duck simply melts in the mouth. The Cannoli was the perfect way to finish the meal. It was sweet, but not excessively sweet. I loved the contrasting textures of the crispy shell, crispy pistachios and the smooth and creamy ricotta filling. The food boxes are for collection or delivery within 20 km from CBD. Overall, I was really impressed by the quality and aromas of each of the dishes I tried. I highly recommend ordering one of the Scopri steel boxes."
