"Have become curious by guest reviews on mamma giulia. a true secret tip, I can only confirm! operated by a real Italian family, offers the restaurant that we have eaten in this species only in italien. they do not cook like they, but they eat there as in an Italian family: freshly prepared, well digestible with real Mediterranean taste. everything in all, very tasty. Suitable for all age groups, everyone finds something after its taste and according to its price proposals. balanced price-performance ratio.Only the guests who have no time and are satisfied with the feeds from freezes heated in the microwave are totally wrong with mamma giulia. waiting for the food is worth it! and even if the secret tip is not very well known among the dresdners (opened since 08.2015), it is worth making a table reservation ;-) because it will not last long and the places are very desirable there!"

"Besides Sapori d'Italia around the corner this is the best place for pizza in Dresden. It's an original Italian family run business with everything which belongs to it. The interior is very Italian and absolutely not my style BUT as mentioned the pizza is great,...the service fast and prices value for money. The soft drink selection isn't special and they don't have other non-alcoholic alternatives."

"I had dinner here on my own while on a business trip in Dresden. It was just round the corner from the hotel I was staying in and only a minute walk from the Frauenkirche. I had a couple of dark beers and the...steak with gorgonzola sauce and penne pasta. The food was excellent although a good vet could have got the steak back on its feet as it was very rare. Interestingly enough I was not asked how I would like the steak so that is the default doneness be aware if you do not like it that rare. I can eat steak that way and it was very nice but it could put a lot of people off. The service was ok but nothing to get excited about not too good but not bad. I would certainly consider going back as the food tasted great."

"45 minutes for drinks, 1 hour for an appetizer waited even though nothing was wrong. other guests were preferably treated (probably regular) and then the wrong food came after waiting for an hour. tastefully it was not a revelation...just the ambiente was quite ok. really a pity."

"We decided to try this restaurant with some reservation as we have lived in italia, before and eat outside italia is simply not the same! what a surprise to find out all in the restaurant language italian! it has our hearts good, even to hear...the waiter and kitchen staff scream every man in Italian. allora! the food tasted great. the bruschetta was great and the spaghetti bolognese was the best we had in Germany. my man said the fish soup was the best he ever had; full of fish and just hurdle enough to let him sweat more! the personal was very nice and accommodating. we have noticed that all around us got their food very fast, while our food was delivered in the true Italian way with the time! but in everything it was good and we go back when we visit the next time."

I did not want to take the risk, because it must be economically worthwhile to raise such a large object, says Wirt Maik Kosiol. Finally, the restaurant remained closed all year 2021. Now the movement could come back to the whole. Because in November there was a Council decision on the building rent for the property. Because the property on which the place is located belongs to the city. The City Council decided in 1992 to grant ownership in inheritance. So the reason is still the city, only the building went to the farmers. By the end of 2021, 25,000 euros of inheritance were due per month. However, the current city council decided to reduce it to 11,000 euros per month, so that the whole can be operated economically. The plan of Maik Kosiol is now to take over the inheritance contract. We have already applied for this in the city and are waiting for feedback, he says. The city has not yet expressed itself on request. If he succeeds, he wants to reopen at Theaterplatz in April. In the spring I want to reopen the beer garden, says Kosiol, who runs the object together with his wife Janet. Even in spring he wants to run the café again, only no longer under the franchise concept of the dairy girl. But still as a café with breakfast. The restaurant Stadtwaldschlösschen on the ground floor will follow in the middle of the year. In 1866, the first municipal forest castles opened at the Postplatz. The brewery in the main house on Bautzner Straße produced and imported beer for the Bavarian style at the time for 30 years on behalf of the Actienverein der Societätsbrauerei zu Dresden, so that a second place was sought for a break. On the ground floor the Milkmaid Coffee House also opened. There was breakfast and coffee and cake. Upstairs they led the Brunetti Centro, an Italian restaurant. At the beginning of 2020, the building site on the theatre square and the Augustus bridge made life more difficult. In fact, the construction works before the restaurant should be completed a long time ago, but they still take part. “When the new construction site was built exactly in front of our beer garden last summer, our sales decreased by 50 percent,” says the host in early 2020. "We had reserved online and after 40 min. receive an email confirming our reservation. Then there was an email with a YouTube video of the restaurant about what awaits an evening. Great! But what we expected was even better, nice reception, great map and super delicious pasta. We reserved for the next night, was just good!"
