"Un piccolo pezzo di Italia al centro della elegante Salisburgo.Una splendida cucina "a vista" dove lo chef Giuseppe, siciliano e trapiantato a Gallarate, anche proprietario del locale, fa da "padrone" trasformando con semplicità ed evidente esperienza, i prodotti italiani (tutti rigorosamente freschi!) in piatti che evocano la bella Italia.....quella genuina ed autentica: pomodori, basilico, pasta all'uovo e ripiena, salumi, carni, il tutto arricchito da una completa cantina di ottimi vini italiani.Il locale elegante e sobrio, con tavoli elegantemente apparecchiati regala agli ospiti un'atmosfera veramente rilassante.Il servizio cordiale, insieme alla bontà della cucina "espressa" (nulla di precotto) e la velocità di preparazione, consigliano una sosta a chi nella bella salisburgo vuole apprezzare ciò che di buono l'Italia offre.Abbiamo dimenticato di dire che abbiamo veramente gradito la particolare attenzione del sig. "This is just delightful. Its small, family owned and run, celebrates sardinia and is so reasonably priced and cosy and welcoming that I would gladly travel a very long way to spend an evening here. The menu is sensibly small, the food is fresh, mostly...pasta and pizza, and the family eat in their own restaurant along side you (if your there at that time) and the red wine (Sardinian) is just wonderful and the best at that price point i can imagine. The waitress scarcely spoke english or german but was very tolerant of our italian and when we asked for things that were not on the menu (i.e. cheese at the end of the meal, antipasto mistake one day at the beginning) Mum came out and helped us choose what we wanted and how much. I cannot emphasise enough that this is not slick, not pricey, not self-conscious just so welcoming, such an oasis amongst the self referential chic of salzburg and such agreeable people. Eat course by course, dont rush and drink wine. What more could you want. It is a find. A gem"

"Hier gibt es gute italienische Küche und vor allem ein sehr reichliches, schönes Antipastibuffet. die Spaghetti sind lecker, auch die Pizza ist sehr gut. Durch die Lage ideal vor einem Kinobesuch (oder danach- allerding ist die Bahnhofsnähe sonst nicht so schön, aber zumindest gibt es in der Nähe eine Taxiplatz und eine Bushaltestelle für viele Linien), es geht auch recht flott. Portionen sind ausreichend, teils sogar zu gross."

"I was on a day trip to Salzburg trying to see everything and only had time for a light lunch snack in the Old Town. The Mediterraneo was a nice place for just a light snack and a cool drink especially in a hot day....There's a mixture of indoor and outdoor seating, and the former looks pretty nice, kind of like a cosy wine bar/cafe look. Anyway I just had a Redbull and a lemon slice, all reasonably prices, especially in this part of Salzburg."
