"We had only a short amount of time for a quick drink and we went to the burg.ring, which was the nearest place to the Burg cinema. It was about to close for the night (although it was quite early we came at pm and the place should have been open until pm) so we were warned that we could only have a drink and that we needed to hurry up. We were also pointed to a table next to the entrance and were not allowed to sit anywhere else. As I later went to the toilet, I couldn't help but notice that many tables were occupied but there were a lot of free ones as well, so I don't understand why we needed to sit at a specific table chosen by a member of staff. We had a quick beer and a hot chocolate. The chocolate was fine and since I had asked for a large glass of tap water, I was given a whole litre in a very unusual jug. The service was fast and efficient; however, it wasn't freindly at all. We were treated as if we should have been grateful for being allowed to have a drink and spend our money there. Points for good interior design and fast service, minus one point for unfriendliness."

"We tried to order 8 pizzas on a Saturday evening. I guess the crew was overwhelmed. we could only pick them up for 2 times, although we had ordered a garlic that was nowhere. a bit strange is also the teig that resembles that of a flaky cake instead of a grumpy. tastefully ok, for which the pizza 6 euro costs."

"My wife and I arrived at 9pm and asked for a table for 2. To our great surprise the owner started showing us the time on his watch and had a ‘mini hissi fit’, muttering under his breath his major disapproval that we were daring to arrive so late for dinner. Not quite the welcome we were hoping for. Nonetheless he relented and so we took our table as we were hungry. All of this was very unexpected as we had checked the restaurant website and it stated closing time was 10.30pm. Also, the restaurant was almost empty with only about 6 other patrons present. From this point onwards things got better. The bottle of wine we ordered was really very good and our starters and main courses were excellent. So as the food and wine were so good we could forgive our inauspicious welcome at the start. We would go back again during our next trip to Vienna but perhaps at 8.30pm !!"
