"The damp weather did not effect the day much, but you had to come prepared. One of the best things of this event is the Fall Peak colors as you drive in from any direction. Coming from Chattanooga area we chose to take the scenic drive down the old highway from Monteagle through Sewanee. As you arrive into town you can start seeing the smoke and smelling the BBQ. This is a very small town but everyone seems to be selling parking. $5-$10 mostly. We parked very close to downtown. The square is fully covered with tents and vendors as you walk in, live country music is playing. All the downtown shops are open and plenty to explore and see in the town. However, food is in our mind and we continue down to the food tents and competition area. Lots of free samples, but I did not see any from the competitors which was a disappointment. But still plenty to see and try. They also have food instructions, vendor demos, Etc I do wish they would move this so it is not the same weekend as Tennessee vs Alabama. We left early to catch the game as I am sure many do. At the least put a big screen up for the crowd. Lynchburg is a great small town and one you should visit. Jack Daniels is a short walk and free tour. Great day."

"Billy is an amazing man and the company he started from scratch is very inspiring. My daughter and I and my 3 grandkids saw a sign on the side of the highway and decided to check it out. Billy told us his story, showed us around the kitchen and let us sample some of his candy. Needless to say we bought 4 bags of the nuts. Even the kids enjoyed hearing his story. We will definitely come back to visit him next time we are in the area. This is a must see ."

"Everytime I have company in town, I have to take them to Nina's! Of course, I've usually already given them a big country breakfast, where they have already had some of the Pecan Honey Jam on a biscuit. They have to go into town and get some to take home with them! Linda and Johnny will take good care of you!"

"The place was very clean and the staff was super friendly! we have ordered a pizza to share between 2 people and a blade of their jd kirschokolade eis, both of which were absolutely delicious! I will come back to the next time I visit lynchburg. Please also note that the parent accepted the card payments when I was there."

"Good food. We ordered off the lunch menu. The pulled pork sandwich was overflowing. I had the sausage on crack sandwich and it was good and another in our group ordered the grill cheese on crack and loved it. The decor is a little cluttered for my tastes. Dollar bills and sharpie marking everywhere."
