"We have travelled to India twice and have eaten at various Indian restaurants in the UK. We were travelling through Monmouth en route to Devon and decided to eat at the Jewel Balti. The food was considerably sub standard to what we are used to in Indian restaurants and the manage were intransigent when we commented regarding this saying we should not compare as every restaurant is different!, Our advice please go somewhere else for your evening dinner"

"Went for a night out with work colleagues. With it being valentines evening the restaurant was busy but the service was excellent. It's not a large restaurant so best to book in advance. Food was delicious and very tasty."
