"Food was delicious. Service was alright. Apparently they don 't do open table reservations so our reservation didn 't exist, but they weren 't busy so they were able to accommodate our party of 6 (I 'd hate to see eggs would 've happened if they were packed).It 's in the hotel so I would call it standard to decent fare."

"Questionable at first, but ok in the end. OK, to be fair we arrived to eat at about 3 pm on a Sunday. We were greeted immediately by someone behind the bar and were seated in the first room, where I noticed no one else was seated. And then we waited. And waited. I got up to look for someone to at least hand us menus and found lots of other people in other rooms, but no waitstaff... I returned to the table and the bartender passed by and we stopped her and told her we'd seen no one. She was horrified, took our order, and everything was fine after that. "Their food was super good. Especially the hash brown and breakfast sandwich. I would have them update the listing for their pancakes though. They should mention that the pancakes have the fruit on top and not inside the pancakes. The pancakes are big and fluffy though, so yummy!"

"Maxie's is our place of choice whenever we feel the need for a taste of New Orleans. The food is wonderfully prepared and the portion more than adequate. Our drinks were excellent. Kevin is a great server."

"Great cajun food: several excellent dishes, many good dishes; there are sufficient vegetarian options to satisy my vegetarian friend (who actually requests to go there! ; dinner portions are very generous (be prepared for leftovers! , and some of the appetizers or side orders are big enough and/or good enough to be main dishes. menu available at [hidden link] (We have not explored the vegan friendliness . Two floors of dining, well stocked bars, nice selection of beers and wines, Happy Hour 4 6, delicious desserts (that are NOT veg friendly however . Background music is skewed to New Orleans, and the place can be noisy when busy; nice decor. I 've ordered to go from Maxie 's several times, no problem; they have friendly and helpful wait staff. It 's a first come first served restaurant; they do not accept reservations (except possibly for large groups , and there can be waits at the door, so go early or go late; and sometimes phonecalls get shuffled to voicemail but hey, it 's a busy and popular place!! Great for pre show meals or after show dining/drinks."
