"This was our first visit to Jameson’s and it certainly will not be the last! We had been so looking forward to it, and we were not disappointed. The setting is beautiful, with sparkling chandeliers and pristine crisp white tablecloths set with beautiful vintage china. I had the Splendid Afternoon Tea which certainly lived up to its name! The sandwiches were amazing, all served on the softest bread I’ve ever eaten. All six were lovely but the Brie and Cucumber, and the Prawns with Marie Rose sauce were absolutely fantastic. The fruit scone was fresh, soft and fluffy and the English breakfast tea was perfect. My husband had the homemade sausage roll which he said was the best he’d ever eaten (and believe me, he’s done the research! . He also had the hot chocolate which was a thing of beauty, and a plain scone. Neither of us could manage our slices of cake because we were absolutely stuffed! But not to worry, we’ve brought them home to enjoy later. The menu is huge there’s so much to choose from which was a lovely surprise. The cake choice is vast so give yourself plenty of time to choose! I’m really glad we booked because it was so busy and quite a few people had to be turned away, so we will definitely book ahead when we go again. This was Coronation Bank Holiday Monday though so it was bound to be busy. The thing that really sets the place apart is the lovely staff, who are so welcoming and friendly and chatty. Everyone we spoke to was so lovely and they all added to the warm relaxed atmosphere. The gift shop is a lovely addition and I bought some locally made marmalade which I can’t wait to try. There are also some gorgeous cards and lots of beautiful gift items. It’s easy to park too there is loads of street parking on Abbeydale Road and on the street directly across the road from the tea room there’s a good sized free car park. Thank you so much for such a lovely afternoon we loved every second and we can’t wait to come back!"
