"We were after a Scottish breakfast and this cafe didn’t disappoint. Staff were really welcoming and Adi gave great table service and chat! The food was quick to be ready (although it was a quiet time approx 1pm on a Friday). The food was delicious!!! Just enough to fill but not stuff you! Before the breakfasts came out we had a slice of toast With the butter and jam to put on if wanted. Bread was seeded or grained. For drinks we had a latte and orange juice. Both were made fresh and great too. Nothing to fault here, highly recommend."

"Spur of the moment visit early lunchtime after being up in the Scots Monument in the cold. Service was slow to start but staff were very friendly. Had the most amazing soup and bread, husband had the haggis bites. Then we had a chocolate brownie to share wowzers! Our blonde waitress (European) was just lovely. Would definitely come back. Just as well we got there when we did though as it soon filled up for lunch and people had to wait that bit longer. Cake selection awesome!"

"Our daughter who is a frontline Healthcare worker in Edinburgh is currently off work due to illness. We are in Ireland and are unable to take care of her. Friends of hers in Australia made contact with THE BLUEBIRD CAFE in Edinburgh and ordered the...most wonderful brownies and scones and they also sent a caring note which was personally delivered to our daughter’s apartment by a wonderful lady from THE BLUEBIRD CAFE. Our daughter was stunned with this wonderful surprise and gesture and it was an emotional morning for her. This caring thought and service gave her a huge boost in her time of need. We are extremely grateful to know that a business will still go such a long way in the current climate to bring hope and help to some one who needed a little care and support during their time of need. Well done and a big thank you to BLUEBIRD CAFE."

"We visited here last night on a voucher and were not disappointed. Several words spring to mind! Fresh everything we had was tasty and fresh. Delicious our favourites were the fish Lahore (my partner said it was the nicest thing he had ever...tasted and the lamb rogan gosh (melt in the mouth). Homely we felt very relaxed here and loved the Indian music. Service the lady and gent serving were just lovely. As I said go!"

"While Peters Yard is more of a Bakery than a coffee shop, they still need to produce coffee as good as their food. Their layout with the food in the middle of the cafe, surrounded by tables and the queue, where you pick up and carry the food to the counter to pay for it, is just odd and awkward. The coffee is more often too hot and comes across in a tarnished flavour in the coffee itself. The food though is not that bad, but the general experience just really lowers the score than I can give."

"Visited Edinburgh and popped in for a bite to eat. Way bigger than you first think. Spacious great beer garden. Food was fantastic as everyone had something different. All arrived together and staff were so friendly and polite. Great service all round. Love to go back."
