"I feel torn on what to review Spicy Thai.. I had been years ago and remembered it being good. I came with some friends on a Friday evening. The restaurant was packed! We waited about 10 minutes before a table was ready no big deal. Our waiter tookawhile to come and ask us what we wanted to drink. We browsed the menu and knew quickly what we all wanted to order. It tookaround 15 minutes for our waiter to come back after giving us our drinks and order our food. My husband and I ordered the eggrolls, pad Thai, and massman curry. The appetizer took around 20 minutes to come out, followed by the food about 20 moreminutes. I know that it was a Friday night but the restaurant isn't that big. I don't know why it took so long to get our drinksand food. Our waiter brought the food and brought us the wrong curry. We had to ask for our massman curry. It was shortlybrought out with no apology. The eggs rolls were tasty. They were very hot and full of filling. The chili sauce was the perfectamount of sweet and heat. The pad Thai was very good. It was a very generous portion and full of chicken which was a greatsurprise. The peanuts added a good texture. I was very impressed with this. The massman curry was only okay. It wasn't thatflavorful and tasted like it was lacking or missing something. I did appreciate how much chicken was in it but would've liked tosee more carrots and potatoes. The rice was cooked well. The food was nice and hot when it came out. It was very fresh. Thereason for the three stars in the service. As mentioned above, it took awhile for all the food to come out. Our drinks werenever refilled. After we got our food, our waiter never checked on us. We finished eating and had to ask a different waiter forboxes and our checks. The service needs to improve. I will be back for the food though."

"PROS: this place is similar to betos, but a bit cheaper and tastes different but equally good. The nacho fries (pictured below) were like $9 and it was a hefty meal. I’d say Don Chuy’s is a bit fresher than other “cheaper” Mexican restaurants. The chimichangas are also next level. CONS: nothing really comes to mind. Most of the food here has been great."

"A little expensive, but really good Burritos! I had her classic Sweeto Burrito and it was great. The sour lemon juice really complicated the sweet meat. The atmosphere and theme of the place is unique and fun, and the variety of the menu is great to understand each item very easily. However, eight dollars or more for a burrito is quite a bit when the authentic place down the street is just a few dollars."

"Tri-tip sandwich is fantastic. I added the blue cheese to make it even better. We are also huge fans of the buffalo fries. The tri-tip salad is also good. As one who grew up in Chicago, though, I'm a little disappointed by the Italian beef which is a Chicago original and staple. The beef was ok, but the giardinaire is blah."
