"Beautiful situation in the hills overlooking the wooded valley and Grillenberg. Quiet spot except when coach load of visitors arrives). Chalets are roomy, clean and comfortable with good ensuite facilities. Linen and towels provided. Breakfast is served between 8-10am in the main building but can be earlier by arrangement. It was the usual buffet style with selection of meats, cheeses, breads, eggs, cereals, juice. We didn't eat any evening meals there so can't comment on that. Bus route into Sangerhausen 20 minutes) is close by but you really need a car to explore. Lots of walking and cycling routes and close to Harz mountains. Information boards on site to explain the wildlife around. Lots to do for families, including swimming pool and play area.Staff were friendly and helpful even though they didn't speak much English. If you are British, brush up on conversational German before you go. Cash payment was requested/ no card facility."

"Wir hatten extra eine Woche persönlich bestellt. Einen Tisch für 3 Personen. Im Wintergarten. Aussage von der Mitarbeiterin-Kein Problem. Wir decken den Tisch schön ein. Wir hätten die Mehrkosten auch bezahlt. Überhaupt kein Problem. Wir kommen am Geburtstag dort an. 18:30 Uhr wie bestellt. Nichts war fertig. Kein Tisch fertig. Kein Platz. Okay kann mal passieren. Aber vom Service kam keine Entschuldigung. Die Aussage vom Service: ich kann es jetzt auch nicht mehr ändern. Essen war okay. Espresso war furchtbar. Sekt war warm. Service... furchtbar. Wer es schön haben will, ist in diesem Laden falsch! Schade !"
