"Pink ice is a great place with good food to good trips, we ordered by eaglerider several dishes, with a lot of wings, nachos and pizza, they forgot our pizza, but until then we were well full as an apology then gave us free desert. it is a well-run restaurant from the normal tourist route in a local community, and has become one of my favorite spots on the island, especially when we are on the go as easy parking."

"I got hooked on this family-run place from the first day on...And didnt pass a day without having the authentic Mexican breakfast here, seated either inside, looking how the lovely, always ready-for-a-chat cooks were preparing the food, or outside, observing the local passer-bies..Who in the end always turned out to enter and eat here! Great variety of quesadillas, including the traditional ones of nopal and huitlacoche. Make sure you try the delicious also home made beverages, or waters, but don't get confused, they are sooooo much more: water of cucumber- ginger-lemon, water of chocolate , horchata, and the list goes on...impecable place. The only downside is they close at 1 pm. But that's only so that they can reopen next morning and make your best breakfast you will have in Mexico!"

"Really disappointed that more (cruiseline) people weren't here to enjoy one of Cozumel's best kept secrets ! We happened to come here by chance. And boy, were we happy we did. It's located approximately 2 blocks from the main strip near the Center Square. We were looking for authentic Mexican fare and found a well dressed man waiting outside by the patio to welcome patrons. We entered a very clean and classic Mexican decor establishment. 4-6 tables were filled with local patrons. Three including our party were visitors. We were warmly greeted by an english speaking host. There were 3 in our party fresh off a cruise ship.We all ordered water, which was served in sealed bottles. Wife ordered coffee. Brought fresh tortilla chips and 3 dipping sauces from mild to hot to our table for starters. My wife wanted breakfast so they made her a custom breakfast burrito with eggs, bacon, cheese and salsa accompanied by a large scoop of fresh guacamole and bean soup. The burrito was filling. My daughter and I ordered similar meat / chicken burritos. We also had a large serving of fresh guac to use on burrito. I also had soup . The meals took about 15-20 minutes to arrive because it was made fresh and served hot. Well worth the wait. My daughter couldn't finish the 2nd of two burritos served.I couldn't let my great tasting meal go to waste and finished it with pleasure.Helpings were generous. I consider myself a Mexican fare connissuer. This place was definately 9 of 10 ! No room for dessert. Friendly, A-1 service and very clean. When we recieved the check i had trouble reading the amount. I thought it read , 70 US dollars. I asked the waiter if that was a 7. Thinking , for the quaity and service that we recieved, that that price was somewhat in line to the States prices for three . To my amazement he said, '' thats not a 7, that's a 2". I asked if that was per person. He said no, thats for everything ! $20.00 US !! I asked, ''are you sure?''. He said yes sir ! It has to be one of the best all round places we've eaten.We were so impressed with everyting that I left a 50% tip. We will always visit this place anytime we return! It's a safe walk, close to strip and well worth the wait. One of my favorite places.Give it a whirl, you'll be happy you did. Note: They are only open for breakfast and lunch. 7:00am-3:00am .They except CC Visa/ MC.or cash."

"Went to Amparos with my Mom and unfortunately was disappointed. Overall everything was 'fine' but not what we typically get from the amazing and fresh Cozumel meals. They were very busy, which we did not mind, as we were there during peak hours. We were sat at a dirty table, which we didn't care. It was surprising it took 20+ minutes to be cleaned. They had taken our drink and food order before it was cleaned. Every table was given a full basket of pan dulce and three what looked like jams to go with it. We were given a basket with three of the exact same pieces of pan dulce and no jams which is why I can only guess at the contents. The Heart healthy smoothie I had was delicious but it took a while to get any drinks. As in I watched my water and my Moms orange juice sit on the to be served bar for more than 5 minutes. We were sitting less than 2 feet from the bar. 2 other parties came in around the same time as us and both of them got pan dulce, drinks, clean tables, and food prior to us. I had biscuits and gravy and my mom had migas. We were surprised by the portions because there's typically enough on one plate to share everywhere else we go. I had a bite of her migas and in my opinion there are much more delicious ones back home in Texas. The eggs served with my biscuits and gravy as well as the hash browns were delicious. The biscuits themselves were actually English muffins and the sausage was Italian sausage. Just not at all what I was expecting to be the Mexican take on this dish. After the meal my Mom asked for more pan dulce and she was brought toast. Strike three for us. There are way too many other places to go for incredible knock your socks off food in Cozumel, even on Sunday."
