"I was invited to the hotel because I was attending an event nearby, but the truth is I have been at better hotels in Monterrey. The lobby is amazing, looks like a very fancy, elegant , classy hotel...unbelievable.So I guessed the rooms would be as gorgeous as the lobby promissed.....not!Ugly cheap room, small window, old and cheap furniture, stained carpets.It seemed to me that they bought the furniture at a closing sale because they didn't even match.Old coffee maker on top of a rustic table, two bottles of "free"water.Worst pillows ever, not even a selection of them. Nice toiletries, Pantene Shampoo and Conditioner..good towels. But the rooms seems so sad!Location is good, just across the street from Starbucks, but even though it is a pedestrian crossing, no car allows you to cross the street until you throw against the cars in the most bravely manner. They have several bell boys and valets standing outside of the hotel laughing at your poor attempts to cross the street, no one volunteers to stop the traffic for you.Right next to starbucks there is Plaza San Agustin, a nice looking mall from the outside, very poor inside, ugly stores, old, cheap and seemed quite creepy to walk alone in there.I would strongly recommend to stay in the hotel next door, Quinta Real, classy, elegant and surely much more expensive."
