"I have eaten here a couple of times over the visits I have made to Morelia and it is always solidly average - not fantastic, but certainly passable food. The juices served in the morning are the best part. We decided to give it a try for dinner tonight because they do have a really nice arrachera steak. We got there at 7:30 and it took an hour for the waiters to begin to bring out our drinks. Oddly enough, rather than bringing out several drinks at once on a tray, they have a system whereby each drink must be brought out individually. I have never seen a restaurant operate at quite this level of inefficiency. We watched several tables come in, wait an interminable amount of time, and then give up. For some strange reason, inertia probably, we stuck with it.If you want a glass of red wine, make sure you specify if you want it chilled or not as cold is the default. If you want anything else, you're better off getting up and getting it yourself. The kitchen is only slightly less disorganized than the bar service. We had all ordered steaks but they apparently had forgotten one and so they just threw it on and brought it to us five minutes later. If, for any reason, you need to use the restroom while you are there, I would recommend against it. As I said, we have been there on several occasions and, since I have a young child, we have visited the bathroom each time. Each time, it is a singularly gross experience. Something has crawled into a wall and died, or possibly just become stuck in the labyrinth of doors that have to be successively opened and closed in order to provide access to the stalls. People generally emerge gasping for breath and it should be avoided at all costs.So, to be fair, the steak was very good when it finally arrived, the margaritas are strong, the beers were cold, and the location ideal. I can see that others have had problems with slow service, so that hasn't changed, and as long as you have nothing else on your agenda but sitting and watching the square (and aren't too hungry), then you'll be just fine...although you could always just pop next door and eat at Lu."

"Fantastic vegan food! the tacos al pastor is my favorite. I can also recommend the tostadas papas (flautas for the texans read this), the tofu oriental and the tofu torta. the chocolate cake was also delicious. service is excellent super friendly. the prices are. extremely reasonable and they will be full! also, great location right in front of the great plaza de armas."

"We reviewed the menu on the hotel 's web site and that was enough to convince us to give it a try. So glad we did; it is an international style menu, with a good sea food and pasta selection. We were quite fortunate that Gabriel assisted our original waiter, since we are not fluent in Spanish. Gabriel is without a doubt the best mesero we have encountered in Mexico. For our first dinner meal my spouse had the tuna in tamarind sauce, a huge filet cooked to perfection. I ordered the Salmon a la marmita which was a salmon filet baked in a dish covered with a pastry shell, sort of like a chicken pot pie with salmon. Everything was fresh and tasty. Both dishes were only around $10 USD each, which was a very good value to say the least. The bread basket left something to be desired, and this could easily be corrected since there is a bakery on the ground level of the hotel. But that that is a pretty minor point as this hotel restaurant is far better than some others we tried that have a higher TA rating. Go figure."

"Reasonably priced, varied menu including Mexican traditional dishes, international favorites, snacks, sandwiches and breakfast items. Marvelous desserts provided by partner establishment Shocolate. On the side of the plaza opposite the cathedral. At time of our visit fewer street vendors coming by than on the other...side.Fun to watch all the activity on the plaza in the evening reaching its height around Strolling musicians hope for tips but aren't vocal about it."
