"We came in expecting something different but we gave itA shot anyways. The service was okay. We felt that the service was a little aloof. The food was not what we were expecting either. The restaurant seemed like it would have been a little more upscale but the food did not translate. We only got snacks and went on our way. For two appetizers and two drinks and a dessert, the execution and the price were not up to par. The place is beautiful and has good ambiance but the service and food was lackluster"

"In austin is good eating is not difficult to find, especially during sxsw. eating lkw, bars, restaurants and all have a favorite. we have handed over finn porter when we invite for the fair, and it as our close show famous location pinched. accepted, we will hoard hordes of food and visit for the room, I made an early reservation for the restaurant. we were greeted and seated at the entering. the early reservation meant that the room was largely empty when we set ourselves, but when it was filled over the evening it was obvious that the great attention we were paid was not unique; everyone was greeted, sitting, offered some free champagne, and told of the specials. the service remained top-tier in the evening. as a zöliakie diner it is always difficult to find a good restaurant that even takes into account my nutritional needs; finn porter explained not only what I could and could not, but our server made several trips to check different foods. we had a choice of appetizers and entrees, which we sat down and satisfied. eating was amazing. every piece of seafood, every slice of sashimi, the lamb appetizer. everything was wonderful. the fish was fresh and tasteful, and if they did not have a chance to eat their octopus attarsizers, they must do so even if they usually tent. the service was attentive, courteous, and exactly the right mix from there-but-not-oppressive; jars were refilled after need, plates were deleted when finished, but overall we felt left to enjoy our culinary experience in peace. dessert was a pleasant surprise, not to sorbet or crème brûlée. I had a wonderful mousse plate with flaming marshmallow, which was decadent and wonderful. price is a lot that they would expect from a restaurant of their quality, and I didn't even think twice for what we paid."
