"The food is great, our server Ayumi was so attentive and had a perfect knowledge of the foods, the only downside of the experience was the 'wait for food '. Restaurant wasn 't crazy busy on Monday afternoon (4PM), but it took them s o long to bring the food to the table. Overal everything was good."

"I love this place. If you work on the university's St. Paul campus you're always a little desperate for food options, so I was happy to see this place open and it has really impressed, I now stop by almost once a week. I really appreciate their lunch menu, they have a couple of dishes (including fried rice, pad thai, green/red curry, etc. for $8 which most days comes with a side salad. The food comes out quickly and is really delicious."

"Me and my husband love Umi Sushi. For us is the best sushi in town. We don't go to another place to eat sushi. Umi is always our go to. The sushi is amazing so much flavor and huge, prices are the best one you can find for much more sushi. The location is incredible next to shelter island."

"When it comes to raw fish, standards are high. This restaurant offers par comparative sushi ratings. The raw fish was off, under fresh for me; not horrible, but not great. Killed the mood, too, weird country music playing and the staff started cleaning up before closing with a strong chemical cleaning smell before I finished eating. Put me off finishing the meal. It was a Monday night, so that may play into it, but... Meh at best."

"While we received decent service, I am giving this low review because we tried their feature dish consisting of four formaggi ravioli agnolotti (bite size) and three pieces of duck breast meat that was $140. The server didn’t tell us the price and while we also didn’t ask, we assumed (not unreasonably) that it would be in the ballpark of their secondi options on the menu. This one dish was more than double, and I repeat, all it was, was four formaggi tortellini and three pieces of duck breast. All of this is to say, we felt ripped off because neither quality nor quantity could justify that price point. We definitely will not come back and will let others know."
