"Visited on a cold evening and had a great meal. 8 Euro for a drink and schnitzel and chips. The portion was massive and really tasty! Sat and watched them make my food fresh and the staff were helpful using broken English and sign language....Highly recommended this place!"

"We had a bad experience one night for a dinner.The scenario is like this: we asked a normal question the sausages have pork & the answer was NO, we asked again to confirm & the answer was again NO.We were not happy with answers so we called the manager and he gave the shuck answer which is the sausages have pork!So we left the restaurant without paying the bill."

"Visited here as classed as an institution in Vienna and rated highly in travel guides but the expectation far outweighed the reality. Had lunch in a weekday, and as tourists, we were treated with Tourist Contempt by an arrogant and rude waiter, despite my efforts to converse in schoolboy German. Wifey goulash soup was tepid and my special of the day was more like cold war canteen food. Dreadfully disappointed as was last meal in Austria before heading for Xmas in UK. Final straw from a previously unmemorable meal was the cheek of the waiter to say on clearing the table to "make sure you leave something for me" whilst tapping the table - clearly indicating the request for a tip. But, given this is a tourist attraction, the quality of service is irrelevant as there is always another bunch of tourist coming in so there is not need to try! A sorry attitude for a venue that could trade so much better of its history."
