"This place has the best steak in all of Germany! Using only salt, pepper, onion, and garlic, the steak has a beautiful smoked taste and is so tender you rarely need a knife to cut it. Zum alten Goten is a 500+ year old house...situated on the main street of Idar-Oberstein. The owners are extremely friendly and speak very good English. The cozy atmosphere and wonderful food make this a restaurant worth trying. In fact, we drive an hour just to eat a good steak here."
