"The food was delicious. Incredibly flavourful and presented well. Every dish was so tasty but the pork belly steamed buns and the wild mushroom pasta stood out, for us. Service was friendly and helpful. It was our first time and our server was helpful with describing each dish and pointing out some of the local favourites. The portion sizes are not overly large, but with a combination of small plates (one of each menu 'section ' for 2 people), we were more than satisfied. We will spread the word and will be back. Perfect for a date night or smaller groups (2-6)."

"Four of us went for brunch and three of us had eggs benedict. Mine had pulled pork and kale with hash browns. It was very good. The others had similar and said it was good. The 4th had short ribs, slow cooked, and also said it was very good. With coffees, and ond one caesar, bill was under $60 for 4. Very reasonable. Server was very pleasant and meal came out in good time. Venue is used for the local concert scene and is not at all fancy. However, would return for food again."

"Amazing pizza and we LOVE the banana pudding and kale salad with hickory sticks. Atmosphere is always a bit loud, but you get used to it.Vegetarian options: White pizza and margarita are both good vegetarian options here. You can also get the delicious kale salad without bacon."

"This was our first meal in Winnipeg and we were not disappointed. The restaurant is located in the Forks Market, which has lots of interesting eateries--some of which look delicious--but Sydney's is the only real fine dining establishment in the market. We shared some delicious New Brunswick oysters served with a delicious, tangy relish: they were super fresh and delicious. We had an appetizer of octopus and greens: very delicious. The other appetizer was a kale salad with sweet nuggets that didn't come off so well: the blend of sweet with the salad didn't work so well. The main course was a 7 ounce New York steak, which was perfectly cooked and succulent. Dessert was a crème brûlée, which was delightful. The waiter was very knowledgeable and extremely helpful with respect to my gluten allergy."

"We went for dinner at this lovely cozy little restaurant with another couple and were seated at the front window table. The restaurant has a garage-front door, which opens up to a giant screened area onto Corydon - it gives you all the atmosphere of being outside but without having to worry about the elements (or future mosquitoes.) The service was wonderful and very attentive, the plates were all a good size and the prices were reasonable. They have main courses, but you can also order in tapas style, which is what we decided to do. We especially loved the prawn dish and the bacon wrapped jalapeños, and the kale salad was made with Tuscan kale which is a tastier, gentler kind of kale. We also ordered their grilled cheese specialty and split it 4 ways. It was delicious and their fries were really good. They have live music on Thursday nights with a talented and very enjoyable musician (Joel Waldie), who took our requests and kept us entertained during the evening. They were setting up a small patio area as we were finishing off our dinner with shared desserts - a triple chocolate cake (to die for if you are a chocolate lover) and a cheesecake with raspberry coulis that was also very, very tasty. They have a small, but well chosen wine list that enhances the food they serve. This place is on "the other" side of Corydon, but is well worth crossing the street for. We had a fabulous evening and I would gladly return."
