"One of the Best Western breakfasts I have ever had..a big step above all the rest...the hotel provides a $7 voucher that can be used at the Westerly, Flying Canoe or the Chalk Bar. The $7 breakfast is great. There are 3 hot choices and 1 cold fruit parfait and yogurt breakfast. All the hot breakfasts are cooked to order and brought to your table...the $7 breakfast includes coffee tea or juice. Coffee and tea refills are complimentary. The also have a full breakfast menu including Eggs Benny, Omellets, Pancakes and more in which you apply one coupon for each meal and pay the difference... beverages are extra when you order of the regular menu. The egg bennies are hard to beat locally. I really hope this Best Western keeps this breakfast ongoing and doesn't go with buffet/self serv carbohydrate and fatty option setups that most of the chain has."

"Vegan providers include flourchild vegan baking and easy treats (dec. 2020). the mustard lady sells senf and pickel (the scavengers are just like my mother who loved it). steller raven ecological farm sells fresh products and preserves. I bought freshly picked kale, a hunk of squash and a glass apple butter that is delicious! Mochi balls and other Japanese foods were sold on a table. easy treats chocolates are excellent and of course flourchild offers delicious tasty."

"Wow, when this place first opened we were like this good eats. No problem paying 20$ for a top notch artisan pizza. As time went on the toppings began to yield in the opposite direction. After a few months the toppings had hit the middle of the pizza, basically paying for crust and bread. I mean come on. I cant tell you how many people I know stopped buying your pies. Talk about taking advantage. You need to check out Cuckoo in Coombs or Riso in Lantzville to see how its done right."

"Great food. Love buck a shuck although wish they'd bring back the free condiments with that appy. Kale Caesar salad is amazing. The mushroom Poutine is awesome. Drinks selection is incredible. Great food. On the river. Try and get the patio if you can. If you're in Comox you should definitely try this place. You'll be happy you did."
