"Just finished an amazing two course meal for two with bottle of wine. A lovely gift for Christmas from someone special. The whole experience was impressive, from the ambiance, attentive staff, warm fire (with snow outside)! Not to mention the incredible food. Starter we had...Cullen Skink and the pâté. Both of us had chicken, with haggis, dauphinois potatoes, mustard mash, kale, carrots and butternut squash with red wine jús. Too stuffed for pudding but will be back!"

"Had a brilliant night at down to earth celebrating a friends birthday last night food was amazing a few had the homemade lentil soup with hot sourdough toast the rest of us had the brie with salad dip this was delicious, mains we had beetroot Wellington with all the trimmings others had chicken/ beef again everyone ate everything, of course need to mention wonderful selection of cocktails on offer we tried a few (would be rude not) so a huge thank you to the lovely staff at down to earth for the lovely food service will certainly be back again soon."

"The Damm-Käseburger is ineffective as well as the sweet potato frits. they have the opportunity to sit inside or outside and I would recommend booking on a summer day because it is really busy. drinks are also beautiful. the personal is really polite and they have the opportunity to order with their phone or order via the personal and get the check at the end. the service is fast."
