"This is the first breakfast place where I was, has vegan options! In California, breakfast is usually super anti vegan but this place has special vegan dishes with alternative meat and discarded tofu that all tasted great. Portions are huge and the ambience is beautiful. Price is a bit high, but location is nice, roof from West Gate"

"I was a bit apprehensive when I first arrived for lunch here, as the setting was more akin to a college cantine than a restaurant. But we received a friendly welcome and the menu looked amazing, with starters including hake and main courses such as roasted pheasant and flat iron steak. And the food did not disappoint when it arrived it was cooked to very high standards worthy of a five star hotel. Admittedly, the service was a bit slow, so this is not somewhere to go if you're looking to have a quick lunch. But with two courses for just £7 I have to say this was the best value lunch I've ever had in Oxford. This is truly a hidden gem. It's just a shame that they aren't open more often in the evenings."

"So pleased that we had booked here as the Sunday roast is so beautiful. The vegetables and roast potatoes are the best I had for a long time. And yes, they make amazing vegan Yorkshire pudding. The part is huge, but we just had room for the minty pleasure that was very tasty. In any case, we'll go back to Oxford on Sunday."

"My friends and I recently went to oxford for the day. 1) to come from london and 2) they see the sights of this historic college city. famous jagd turf tavern is hidden in a series of gasses, although this has never worked out, it is popularity or deep of the lore. it is a spacious esserei, with many o’ seating options with two farms (unless there was another secret I missed). the day wasn't as sunny as we hoped, but reason enough to dig into a Sunday roast look. the first service was a bit fizzer, the kerl didn't seem to care for ease and barked orders with us. there was a warmer reception from eating. £12ish brings them meat, kartoffeln, yorkshire pudding as well as baked petersnip, carrots and kale. we were all of the same vene and ordered the black bell. I was a fan of pussy, and there was enough force to make the best of it. the flesh was not my favorite, it was a bit fat without the crisp quality. veges was in order, but the fat potatoes were hearty and a pleasant side. turf tavern makes a good place to drink for the locals and one must also be for the visitors."
