"I have been here numerous times over the years. The setting is spectacular especially if you can eat on the patio and walk abut the grounds before or after. It is the most beautiful place in the city. BUT the food and service has deteriorated lately. The menu has changed. It seems more casual instead of unique and delicious. More like a lunch menu. There are burgers and fries and sandwiches. A few entrees like noodle bowls etc. Just average and disappointing. The service was average or less. After bringing the food we didn't see them again. No offer for dessert or coffee. When I went inside to ask about it they said it was too close to closing time. It seemed like they were anxious for us to leave. Too bad because it was a lovely place. Maybe they are just catering to the lunch crowd now. The menu and hours seem to reflect that. Closes at 8 pm. Hard to attract the dinner crowd for those hours."

"The restaurant I wanted to go to was not open yet, so I went here because the ratings were good. I will say that the service was attentive and friendly and the atmosphere was nice. Two things ruined it for me. One was the menu item I chose - the Banananut Sandwich. It was little better than peanut butter on toast. If there was bananas in there, I couldn't taste them and the brioche toast might have been white bread for all the flavor it had. Just bad. Do not order it. The second thing (which was not the restaurant's fault) was I was seated by two "jocks" that had a running commentary about themselves. I don't mind conversations, but these guys talked over the ends of each others sentences in their eagerness to talk about themselves. And they did not pause once for my entire meal. Annoying to the point of obnoxious."

"My friend and I ordered the Walleye. I had good memories of a "Walleye" dish last year. It DID NOT live up to expectations. When we complained that we did not like the sauce, the very vinegarry zucchini, the pickles, the server told us they'd changed the recipe and we got what we'd ordered. It didn't explain the amount of vinegar in the zucchini. My friend ordered bread (to help sop up the vinegar and sauce) and was charged an extra dollar for it. With a $26 order, I'd expect MUCH, MUCH more (in quality quantity of both food and service).I'd like to recommend this restaurant but find I just CAN'T, I'm afraid."

"Came here early on a weeknight, the restaurant was quite empty. Had a quick browse of the menu and found the prices to be kind of outrageous. My friend treated me to a bourbon sour, which was ok, but cost a pretty penny. Atmosphere is...dark and nice, wait staff is pleasant."
