"I showed up about 5 minutes before the end of the lunch service, and even thought that is an inconvenience, I got great service. I ordered the mushroom soup, which was bountiful and well balanced in flavor; creamy, umami and perfectly salted. Served with croutons, cress, a perfectly poached egg and pickled cabbage, the flavor profile was wonderful. In fact, I got so excited about the food that I ordered a digestif. All of this, including tip, for less than 20 USD. With great good and great service, I'd say that's a bargain! Would definitely recommend!"

"All right, I've been a regular customer in this place for over 10 years. The best update I could offer is that trends come and go, but Gryningen remains true for his mission. To be sure, I would prefer to be fully vegan, but I guess only the knowledge that their heart is in the right place and that I will be able to count on it. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Not only do they have products at laughing prices, they also sell a variety of gelatin-based sweets without regret. Gelatin, which is of animal origin, but so far they have apparently not considered meat sales. Why? I have no idea. The staff usually changes quite often what a minus is in my book, but seems more stable in these days. Updated by previous review on 2012-02-13"

"The shop has so much vegan food it is amazing! the café has a good selection of hot and cold dishes and I was as surprised as well presented and delicious it was- had to double check it was all vegan!"

"We visited for a Christmas lunch. The set meal featured traditional Swedish Christmas starters like cold prawn hors d'oeuvre, lox, marinated herring with Kalix Löjrom, duck liver pâte, ham, Västerbotten cheese, crispbread and spice bread. This was followed by a warm main of duck breast with root fruits accompanied by fried kale. Dessert was a dark chocolate mousse topped with soft maraschino cherries and a fruit sobert. Drinks cost extra. Overall fantastic, professional staff, classic setting. We were seated with a lovely view of a wintry Kungsträdgården. Food wise, the crisp bread and cheese were amazing and marinated herring was fresh. The duck breast was a letdown, overcooked and hard. The dessert is a chocolate and cherry lovers' delight but didn't appeal to me. My order of Chardonnay was a pleasant drink that was full of flavourful notes. The Swedish brewed coffee was a smooth medium roast that provided a good wrap up to our visit. It is not mandatory to have the Christmas set as you can also order á la carte. Reservations recommended as this restaurant is very popular."
