"We have eaten at Tantra hundreds of times over the years, when it was owned by Nitin (Roti Boti). Tantra was then the best Indian restaurant in the eastern Melbourne suburbs. Under new ownership now unfortunately it is just an average offering. We went there last night at 8:30 pm and the place was almost empty. The waitress asked us to order quickly as they wanted to close up. We asked some questions about the specials on the board and got talked out of them. So we ordered the staples... Butter chicken and lamb korma. The food arrived at the table almost immediately, indicating they simply heated up what was pre-cooked and ready to go. The naan however was good. The chicken had no spice, it was sweet and tasted like tomato paste out of a jar. The lamb was better but again had no heat. This is not what we came for and Tantra has had its last chance."
